Read this before you buy this!!!

“This could be a very beautiful piece. Ours came defective. The fireplace the heating portion was so defective it was a fire hazard. Received a replacement part somewhat in a timely manor. However the part of the fireplace that holds that is also defective and we have been trying for 6 weeks or so to receive a replacement. Finally receive correspondence from them. Saying they will only replace it if we donate the defective one and send them a receipt. While I appreciate being able to donate it how about send a replacement and pick up the defective one that could potentially be life threatening and cause a fire. I don’t think it is standard policy to receive a piece of furniture and have to jump through hoops to get what you are paying for. Here is the copy and paste email of what we were told to do after waiting and waiting and being told we would hear something Hi Adam,
Good day!
Thank you for reaching out regarding your order (FIREPLACE BOOKCASE). In order for us to proceed with the replacement, we require you to donate the item you have to a charitable organization (eg. Goodwill or Salvation Army) and ask for a donation slip.
Please ensure the donation slip has the signature, name and quantity of the item donated and the date that it was donated.
Once you have that donation slip, you can send that in this email on or before March 14th.
We will then issue a replacement in the order once we receive the donation slip.
Thank you.”

“The quality of the wood structure is beyond our expectation
The wood is heavy and strong and easily assembled
I assembled the structure using both glue along with one and a half inch finish nails
The mental structure is extremely stable. In the scheme of things, this is a high end mantel piece with and above average fireplace insert
The quality will hang with any style of furniture to include brown leather
I surf the Internet for a week or two before I found this unit from Ashley
It is the best mantle fireplace for the money you can find
Ashley furniture was very good at keeping me informed on tracking etc
While some of the other Chinese warehouses offer cheaper price, with Ashley you know you're going to get the product”

“I recently purchased this TV stand/Electric fireplace for my living room. I like the dark color of the wood and the fireplace looks very realistic. My only complaint would be the round screws that are used to hold the pieces of wood together that are turned 90 degrees and are supposed to lock in place. Well, a number of them didn't turn and hold as well as I would have liked, but were good enough. If I were building it again I would use glue in the pre-drilled holes for those screws. Overall it is a very nice addition to my living room and I would recommend it.”
