“our brand new recliner squeaks so bad. Ashley’s came out and thru some vaseline type product on it twice with no results. They wouldn’t give us a new product. do not shop there they don’t honor there merchandise. never will shop there again. pretty sad customer service.”

SEAT BACK and HEADREST

“The seat back does not come forward enough for when you want sit more upright. Instead, the most forward position of the seat back forces a person to lean back quite a bit. There is no sitting up straight or even near that when you would like to.
Second, the headrest does rise to a good height, however, when sitting in the chair with no recline, etc. as mentioned above, in order to get the headrest (high) enough to be able watch t.v. or have a conversation, it ends up at the top/back of the head, curving your neck. Remember, the headrest should sit at the neck/base of head to keep your bones aligned.
Then, if you are sitting in the chair with the headrest up where you want it, when you decide to recline, the headrest automatically retracts to fully down. So once you get the recline angle you want, then you have to once again raise the headrest.
Also, the foot recliner does not raise high enough for your legs to be straight out, or better yet, a bit higher for blood flow to lower legs and feet. Instead, once the footrest reaches it's highest position, you must stop pressing the button, otherwise the seat back starts to recline and again, the headrest begins to retract.
I plan to examine the "works" underneath to see if the chair back can move more forward.
Overall, I just got the chair delivered two days ago. Without having looked underneath yet, I really like that the stitching, cushion to cushion fit, the look of the leather. The electronic motors are very quiet and seem to work well, switches also work well so far as does the phone charger insert.
It has a steel frame which is great. I've been a Laz y Boy fan for a long time, but to me, the "overstuffed" big arm rest pillows etc. has past it's time. This chair is wide due to the arm rests/sides, but not obnoxiously so.
It is very comfortable for people that prefer firmer cushions rather than the "sink in" type of recliner.
I rarely leave feedback comments, and really hate the posts that give something, anything, a great rating because the (chair) matches their furniture. On the other side, people that leave very low ratings because something (chair) is too big, or this and that. Do your research folks.
I hope this helped those looking for a (second day of use) evaluation and such.

“All the bells & whistles & hyped features don't makeup for the totally uncomfortableness of this chair. It's like sitting on a wooden bench. If you want firm, this is the chair for you. If you want long term use comfort for reading, TV watching or just about anything else more than about 15 minutes, better choose something else. The buckboard wagon-like seat was not given much consideration by the manufacturer. Seems they were more interested in the bells & whistles. Comfort wasn't part of their plan.”
