“First off, the 3 stars is because of the installation issues I had with this but for looks and quality it would have received 5 for sure. Futons have definitely stepped up their game since I was a kid (over 50 now). This looks exactly as pictured. The installation was another issue. You need two people for sure. My first issue was the first step. One of the arms (D) I had to put screws into a threaded hold was a pain and couldn't be fixed. As I was screwing it in it didn't feel like it was locking and stopping at all, it kept just going around in a circle. Turned out the thread in the hold was pushed out to to other end and had I kept trying to screw it in it would have caused a hole in the faux leather which would have been very noticeable. Now it sticks out like a pimple. It wasn't worth the return as I had a timing issue getting this set up so I continued putting it together. I noticed in plenty of spots (of which I took pictures of everything), there was alot of little nicks of faux leather scratched off, places that didn't even touch my floor so I know it wasn't my end, it was the packing or manufacturing of it. Again, not worth the return but there was about 4 spots like that. I mean, you want to pay for something that feels new from the start right? Last, one of the side pieces needed us to attach the piece to the main piece by aligning the screws that was installed on prior steps into the holes of the main piece. For about 15 min we couldn't figure out where one of the holes were, turned out it was there, just not cut through. You could feel the hole. So we took a box cutter and cut through the black material to insert the side piece into that hole. The Allen wrench was a pain in some of the spots, it forced use to use the smaller handle part which hurt a little after a bit of turning because the small handle was hard to grasp but the spot the screw was in made it difficult to use it the other way. After about an hour it was put together and moved into my office/guest room. Again, piece itself is beautiful and worth the 5 stars let alone the sale price I got it for.”

“Arrived damaged, nightmare assembly, and horrible quality. I received this a few days ago. It arrived damaged with the cloth underneath ripped and a broken zipper. I thought I'd try and fix that, but now 2 days after having it assembled, it's already losing shape and breaking down on the seat. I called Ashley and because it's past the 72 hours from delivery, the say they can't fix it. It's day 5 from delivery. Even though I bought it through the Ashley website and it says it's shipped by Ashely, they say they won't help with it because it's a 3rd party seller (surprise!) and they'll have to contact me in 3-5 days to determine if they'll do something about it. Definitely won't be buying the other furniture I need from Ashley, and I hope this saves other shoppers from the headache of buying this couch!”

Everything is made well for the most part… the fold out legs are very poorly and cheaply made … whoever built that part screwed the screws in way too far and an angle and it was hanging by just one screw… access to it is so hard to fix it.”
