“The chair I purchased is lovely and it is a perfect addition to my room.As noted in previous reviews, the recline mechanism is exceedingly stiff and the seat is unusually deep. My husband will need to "break it in" before I can use it! (I'm 78!)”

Footrest is not like the illustration.

“The footrest is not as shown in the illustration. The picture shows two cushions. The actual chair has one cushion and a piece of fabric that covers the mechanism. The fabric is in contact with the metal and is not going to last long as it is subject to friction. In general I am happy with the chair, but I don't like this design for the footrest.”

“BEWARE before you buy from Ashley ONLINE! If for whatever reason the item does not work for you, the return shipping costs are on you. Then you realize that shipping costs more than the purchase price of the item. In the case of this chair, not only was it too big for the space we had, as others mentioned, the mechanism is very stiff. The person in the chair could not make it recline. For us this was a big mistake!”

“This is a beautiful armchair. It’s a little stiff right out of the box and hard to recline at first (you really have to push hard on the arms to get the footrest to pop out), but I’m sure it’ll soften and ease over time. I love that it’s not too big, perfect for small spaces. It was easy to assemble and shipping was fast, arrived two days earlier than expected!”

“Purchased two because they looked really nice. However, stores do not carry model so you take a risk. These chairs are the most uncomfortable recliners we have ever purchased. The seats are hard, the back needs a pillow and the reclining mechanism has no handle and is tough to operate. Add to all of this, there is a dent in the chair padding probably from packaging which is still there after a couple of days. What a waste.”
