“We ordered this Porter console online and saved quite a bit of money by doing so, rather than purchasing it at the store. It arrived a day early which was great. Assembly was no problem and is a lovely, sturdy table. However, after removing it from the box we noticed a nice sized dent on the edge of the base, a splintered edge on the top and several small areas where the finish had been marred. If we had ordered it from our local store, we would have had some recourse, but having ordered it on line, we’ll live with the imperfections. Luckily my husband is a handyman and will attempt to fix the marred finishes.”

The one I received today the rail support bar fell off as we lifted it out of the box and the drawers fell out damaging the braces of the drawers!! I waited a month to get the second table! Be prepared it's HEAVY

“I love the table but in the past I have had my furniture delivered assembled. When the UPS driver came to my door he informed me the package weighed 150 pounds and he could not come inside the house so he hoped I had someone to help me. Well yes my husband was home and the driver did slide it into our entryway but it was up to us from there. It would have been nice to have pieces in 2 separate boxes, easier to handle. We did get it together but our backs suffered for a few days. Be prepared, a heads up on the delivery would have been nice also. The cardboard box was pushed in one area and one of the legs had some surface damage to the finish, we put that leg in the back can touch it up at a later date if needed.”

“This table came to us damaged. We were able to get a little discount due to the fact. But I have noticed that the veneer comes off really easily on this piece. My main disappointment really was the colour. It shows the furniture in a medium brown, when in fact it's almost black ( espresso )”

“The 4 stars is for the table, not the quality control, as the first one was damaged...looks as if someone else had returned too. They had us send photos of damage and told us we would have to wait until it was shipped and received to them before they would ship a replacement one. We told them that was unacceptable as they had the photos-they had another sent immediately. Nice table for the price. In future, I would purchase at Ashley store and deal with them rather than their website. Long wait time on customer service.”
