Though I initially received an answer denying the request I provided a response outlining mitigating circumstances outlining that I was out of town and the item was not delivered damaged. . “Cost effective sturdy ladder shelf system. We have had an all wood construction version of these, we got from a big box store. We were looking for something similarly sturdy and durable as a shelf full of books are heavy. The metal vertical structure as well as the connection design of the shelves and underneath stabilizing supports should keep this from bowing under the weight of a shelf full of books.”

The best of Ikea furniture

“Very disctive shelves that are perfect for my space. Weren't too tough to assemble, though do recommend a second person. Some nitpicks though:
- Black metal frames a bit cheap looking as is. Would have looked much cleaner with a black powder coat, and/or screw covers for the screws.
- Part label sticks tough to get off the metal too, and leave a residue behind; Make sure to have something for that if you want a nice clean look.
- Particle board for shelves is nice and heavy, but still a tiny bit cheap feeling. Due to thinness and variances in exact positioning when fitting things together, have to be careful not to split uit when screwing parts together. Also, some of the end pieces are missing the black finish and look a bit tatty if you look too close at the shelves.
Overall, between materials and assembly and small design oddities, I am left kind of reminded of Ikea furniture with these. The highest end of that place's stuff, nice and heavy and distinct, but Ikea nevertheless. Still a 4 out of 5 for the weight and design and fit... but in hindsight, probably should have realized the quality would more be B grade than A grade for what these cost.”

“Looks great the only down side is when assembling there is only wood screws to assemble shelves to frame as where wood screws with a furniture pin would have been easier. If you’re off when putting in the screws the whole thing will be uneven”
