“This table is better than I expected. It has much more storage space than I thought it would and the top lifting mechanism is very smooth. Would be safe for kids without worrying about smashed fingers. The only issue was the off gassing - it has a very strong mothball-like smell. We left the window open for a few days. The smell was totally gone by about a week. If you're very sensitive, you could unpack it and leave the pieces in the garage until the smell is gone. I also thought it was a good value for the price. We're very happy with it.”

“I love this coffee table. It is a beautiful piece with dual functionality (storage and large surface for decor or food!). It is heavy, and is in keeping with the overall color scheme I was shooting for. It took about 30 minutes to an hour to assemble. I ordered several pieces, and while the instructions for all the furniture is not the best, it wasn't that hard to figure out. I would definitely recommend.”

The upper black metal corner trim pieces are only held on by tacks that 7 of ours were missing we had to hunt the box to find them all and had scratched some of the other pieces. The holes where the tacks go were too big to just hammer back in, so glue toothpicks and lots of time to get that all set. The scratches are fine to me because this has a distressed look but someone picker than me would be upset. I hope this holds up over time because I love the functionality and the size. Is great for lots of blankets.”

“Great coffee table as the inside has enough room for serval thick blankets. Was somewhat easy to put together and the problem I only had were the hinges. The directions didn’t say to twist the top of the hinge to install, so it was a bit confusing but got the hang of it. The color of the table is a bit darker than what’s pictured, but is still in the gray tone. Overall, I’m very pleased with my purchase and wish they made a TV stand to go with.”

“Coffee & end tables were just delivered. I’ve purchased from Ashley in the past and have always been very satisfied. Today I am not. So far, I have only unwrapped the end tables and I find some pieces are not thoroughly stained or painted. Some edges show the lighter color underneath as well as a sliver of wood a (minute chunk) on one edge missing. Some sides have been brushed up against smudging or smearing the stain/paint exposing the light color underneath. I have taken pictures. The boxes delivered were intact. I have not yet opened the box that contains the coffee table. I am concerned I will be further disappointed. What do I do and how do I get these pictures to you to rectify the situation or do I just return everything and start from scratch? I am already thinking I will not keep the end tables or will get them replaced. I do not know about the coffee table as I have not yet unwrapped. My number is 253-720-2793. “I have had my eye on this table for awhile and finally ordered it. Unfortunately, when I opened the box, I noticed a very strong smell (almost like gasoline). I let the table sit out for 3 days hoping it just needed to air out. I made the mistake of not reporting this right away and now it is too late to return as I'm out of the 3-5 day window. It is a beautiful table, darker than pictured. If it wasn't for the smell I would have been excited about this purchase.”

“Table is very sturdy but the laminate on the top is about as thin as if it was spray on and do not get anything like hand sanitizer on it because it will melt the laminate and show a white coated wood under it. I will be going to Walmart and get a peal on laminate and see it I can do the whole top if not then I will sand it on the bottom of the top panel and see if it's real wood, then I will stain it to look acceptable.”
