Online purchase easy. In-store pickup not convenient!

“I wish the in-store shopping experience was as convenient as online. This rug was delivered quickly and appears to be good for my purpose. It has many ripples from being rolled, but I think that will go away once I put it in the sun to flatten it.
Can I complain about in-store shopping here? I live 45 minutes away from the Ashley warehouse in southern CA. I found a nightstand I wanted, went home to think about it, and then called to get it ordered for pickup. Turns out you have to make 2 trips - one to pay for it and another to pick it up. They won't do same-day pickups! Of course you can p ay $50 for delivery if you want, but it's crazy that they don't allow in-store same day pickup. I'll be shopping elsewhere for my furniture now.”
