Wavering on the wavy rug

“The rug arrived in good time. The colors are pretty and the rug is soft. I started out using the tip of rolling it the other direction, then opted to not set up my entertainment center so I could use it to smooth out the rug.
It has been a few days of me moving the heavy boxed entertainment center along to rug to smooth it out and it is still bumpy. There is also a noticeable smell as soon as I walk in the door.
Any tips would be appreciated!”

“Looks as pictured but it doesn’t lay flat, at all. I left heavy objects on each corner for 2 weeks and the corners/sides popped right back up when removed. I ended up having to use rug tape, which I didn’t want for my floors but needed it. Nice looking rug for a decent price but there’s better quality out there”
