Not worth it at any price

“It is difficult to write a review like this because I have been buying furniture from Ashley‘s for decades. But, sadly, this compact table and folding chairs is a pitiful example of the lack of quality and workmanship coming out of China. The table arrived with a prominent chip in the table top, separated joints in the leg legs, and a wheel fell off. But worse, the finish is abysmal. It doesn’t look like a gray wash Acadia wood; it looks like something I might’ve pulled out of a dumpster that is 10 years old. And possibly most disconcerting is the fact that the folding chairs say they are rated to 300 pounds, but that is a blatant lie. A friend barely 160 pounds sat on a chair and thought it was going to crumble beneath them.
What I think bothers me most, is that I trust Ashley’s Furniture to make quality choices on my behalf. They have lost the potential of tens of thousands of dollars of future revenue from me over a $300 item. I hope I’ve expressed my disappointment informatively, and that you never hesitate to speak the truth about things you spend your hard earned money on.”
