Once I received and unboxed the mattress, I let it air out and expand for 24 hours. There was a slight odor but after the 24 hours, the smell was gone. I am petite but I'm also a side sleeper, which is why I chose memory foam. The first several nights I felt like I was laying on bricks. I know it takes about a month to adjust to a new mattress. Fast forward almost a month and most of my back and neck pain is gone. The mattress is now broken in and comfortable. My boyfriend has a tempurpedic and even he slept comfortably! I am completely happy with my purchase. I definitely recommend!”

This time around, I decided to try this 13" queen memory foam mattress. The decription details say that it is ULTRA PLUSH. It's not. I noticed it immediately, but after reading more, decided I should give it a month to break in and soften up. So, I did. It's still very firm. Here I am 10 weeks later and it's still about as firm as the day it was delivered. I'm not saying it's a bad mattress, but it's not good for me. I'm a side and back sleeper and find that there's not enough give in the mattress to sleep comfortably. My back begins to get sore if I lay in bed for longer than 6 hours. So, here I am with an almost new mattress....looking to buy another new mattress. I guess this one will go to a guest room. It's not a bad mattress, but it's FAR from plush. definitely not what I was expecting and hoping it would be. I'll stick with the euro top plushness from here on out.”

“This mattress was easy to remove from the box & set up. It expanded quickly to a full 12" like promised. Some people have reported a chemical smell, but I smelled nothing at all. It is a bit firm, but I'm the type of person that has always preferred a firm mattress. If you want to make it a bit softer, add a mattress topper. It does feel a bit different than a traditional mattress, but personally it's comfortable to me. I have mine on a platform bed without box springs. I can't say it's amazing, or the best mattress I've ever had, but it's a descent mattress for the price. My previous mattress & box springs set costs over $1K, and yes it was a bit more comfortable, but with this mattress I'm perfect satisfied! Also it's a lot more convenient to order a mattress in a box (UPS delivered it right to the door of my 2nd floor apt) than having to move a traditional mattress & boxed springs up the stairs.”

When you get it put it on your box spring and roll it out the first layer of plastic then cut at the ends the other layer of plastic where there’s no mateeess to avoid cutting the mattress. No odor and I have a nose like a blood hound. I’m Blindly testing it out on my hubby by setting it up and seeing what he says after the first night sleeping on it. “The worst mattress I have ever owned. As a side sleeper I had severe shoulder pain within the first 60days of owning this chime mattress, i contacted Ashley customer support and was told that I was basically stuck with the mattress and my money was wasted. Now 10 months later I am going mattress shopping with severe hip pain. I wish I took my money and bought a better quality mattress from a store that wants their customers to be satisfied with the products they sell. I will never purchase from Ashley again”

“Zero stars if I could! This mattress, purchased less than 2 years ago, is already ruined by micro fiberglass. Sleeve was never ripped or taken off . Inconvenience at its finest! Customer service was no help, refusing refunds or credits and instead offering to send a technician to inspect and send the same mattress just new . Save yourself the headache – avoid this mattress at all costs!”

“I first tried this mattress at a recent Air BnB. As a travelling construction worker with sleep and back issues, I get to try a variety of mattresses. Most of them are very plush, and at first I thought that was best. They feel great at first. But I'm nearing retirement age, and now I've got issues where my arms go numb at night unless I sleep at the corner of the mattress with my hands on the floor, which also helps with my developing sleep apnea. Until I moved again and slept on this mattress. The landlord was very proud of it because it used to be his, and he selected it for his back issues. The very top is soft, but after that it's snug and firm all the way down. I'm not gonna lie, I felt like I was a little sore from it for the first 2 weeks and even told him so. But months later, someone mentioned sleep issues in a conversation, and I mentioned that mine had gone away... Wait. What?? When I got home I found the ID tag on the mattress and took a picture of it!! My sleep issues had gone away!? I just took it for granted, but I knew that I'd be moving to a different city soon for another job, and I needed to ID this mattress. Just in case... Another city now. Another plush mattress, and my sleep issues returned with a vengeance. I took to sleeping on the floor, which helped, and which was silly. I pulled the trigger and bought this mattress, making apologies to my new landlord. It arrived in a smallish box, and I didn't believe a firm mattress like this could get that squished. I was very worried about that. Had I gotten the wrong one? I just wanted to get some sleep! But no. This is the one I wanted. This is the make and model I was looking for. I opened the box, carefully cut the plastic, and it eventually poofed up. There was no wait time indicated, like with some memory foam products. I slept on it that night. It fits in my truck. It's coming with me next time. 'Nuff said.”
