It only reached 9.75”, which is being generous. Since the mattress did not reach 12” I will need to get a different box spring/foundation. I will say the mattress is very soft and plush. If you’re looking for something a little more firm do not get this one. The cost was fine.”

I will say, we let it air out all day and slept on it at night. It did have some stink to it which faded each day. Not too bad, just when we’d roll over and get a smell of it. “Very springy feeling. Literally feel every coil along the outside of the mattress. Very weird getting into and out of bed with the coils and the padding being so minimal- especially after switching from a memory foam. You can feel the springs doing anything from rolling over to crawling. It’s just weird. If I had to describe it … I’d say it feels cheap. But on the plus side, my back doesn’t hurt the way it did on a foam. Would I buy it again? No. I’d pay the extra money to get a more padded more well rounded mattress.”

“I don’t have a review for the mattress itself yet as I haven’t even used it. But my experience alone was HORRIBLE. Worst experience ever! This was our first, and will most definitely be our last time ever making a purchase here. Originally we were going to purchase online but instead decided to go to the store around Black Friday to take a look. The sales woman convinced us to purchase in store instead. She did offer a price match to the online price, but would not match the free delivery to our home. Which was fine, so we decided to have it delivered to the store and we would pick up. She than gives us our total and it was way higher than the online pricing because they were charging us full delivery price to have it delivered to the store. So we said forget it we’ll buy online and have free delivery. She than figured out a way for us to have free delivery to the store. Great! Right? WRONG. We were told we’d definitely have our mattress the week before Christmas. It’s January 14th and we just got it. Never received any email notifications so I had to constantly call trying to get updates for delivery. Every time I called they would say “oh it’ll be on Tuesdays truck”. Yea, heard that for weeks. Finally I was fed up and a gentlemen said “it doesn’t look as if it’ll be here until mid January”. At this point I just wanted a full refund!! So he took my name and number and called the distribution warehouse to find out what the problem was. A few days later I received a call to set up delivery... set up delivery to the store??? So she said your mattress will be available for pick up on Jan 11th, just call an hour before you come so they can have it ready. Wow, great wonderful! Jan 11th comes, I call to make sure the mattress was ready, I was ASSURED IT WAS READY.... drive 40 mins to the store, guess what... NO MATTRESS. “Sorry we have new computer systems and employees are getting used to them. That was our fault we told you it would be here and it won’t be until tomorrow”. So yet again, left the store without our mattress. So today we go, and FINALLY after a month and a half, we have our mattress. Not only was our name spelled wrong on the order- making it even more of a hassle every time we called, when I asked why I wasn’t receiving my email notifications like promised.. he tells me “sorry they spelled your email wrong in the computer”. UNREAL. Did they do anything right?! No. The lady offered us a $50 gift card... AS IF I WANT TO PURCHASE ANYTHING FROM THERE EVER AGAIN. Gift card or not. I will never return ever again, and will be sure to warn everyone I know about this horrible business.”

Typically, from what I have been told, the bed needs about 6-8 hours to inflate. The MOMENT we got the plastic off the bed (so much plastic but super great for not having bugs!) it inflated instantly! I have not slept as great as I did the nights I have been sleeping in this bed. It is stupid comfortable and if I toss and turn or my husband tosses and turns neither of us feel the other at night! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!”

It’s plush enough to have comfort but firm enough to feel support. However, the box and the mattress itself is extremely heavy and I definitely recommend someone to help bring it inside and set it on a box spring or metal frame before opening the bag. I was foolish and did it myself but it’s set up and took only 15-20minto fluff up from the wrapping. The smell takes a few days to get rid of so I’d suggest an open window and a fan to speed up that process. The price when on sale is awesome especially for a king size.”

My mom bought the same mattress and has the same problem. However Ashley did say that if it doesn’t measure to 12” it is most likely a defected mattress so I plan on contacting them soon. My mother bought hers a few weeks before I did. But I wouldn’t hesitate to buy again since it seems Ashley is going to make sure everything is ok :) and quality wise, it has amazing fabric & seems to be comfy as well. The box it was delivered in looked like it had been through the wringer, and the mattress was practically falling out of the outer box by the time it got inside my home, but the inner mattress was perfectly fine inside it's plastic lining. I opened the mattress up and let it expand/inflate overnight before sleeping on it or putting sheets on it. It was an easy process I was able to do on my own with no help. “Mattress itself is comfortable and good quality for the price. This is my second Ashley Chime mattress, but sadly I will never purchase again due to the nightmare it was to recieve the order. Ashley warehouse charged me and never shipped the order. I spent hours on the phone with four different Ashley employees who all gave me different answers and refused to solve the problem. I even talked to FedEx and they confirmed that Ashley never delivered the order to them! (Seriously, how do you lose a king size mattress?). The final Ashley employee I talked to processed a replacement shipment and we received the mattress 3 weeks after we were supposed to. They were defientely trying to get away with taking our money and not delivering. Will never order or reccomend Ashley again!”

“The mattress seems to be ok. It's not as comfortable as the Ashley Sleep Essentials mattress. It is used in a guest bedroom so it should be ok for a guest for a few nights. The delivery service, customer service and managements communication is horrible. I was not notified until 8:00 p.m. that the mattress would not be delivered on that day. I had a 12:15-3:15 time slot. When it was delivered the next day the White Glove Delivery was performed professionaly and in a relative acceptable time frame. It has been almost 2 weeks and have not been notified by a Manager yet after several attempts to have one reach out to me. Extremely disappointed with their Customer Service.”
