“It is by far the most comfortable mattress I’ve ever owned. I have scoliosis and chronic back pain so a comfortable mattress is essential. I originally tried this mattress at my grandparents house a little over a year ago. They had this in their guest room and after sleeping on it for a week I asked them where this mattress was from because I needed it. “I do not know what took me so long to invest in this kind of bed. I have seen and heard of them but for some reason, I assumed that these were just like all the other beds that have let me down. Lumpy and springy. When I got the bed, the instructions said to wait 48 hours before laying on it. I opened it and it instantly inflated. I sat on it and then laid on it. OMG, perfect for my body. I absolutely sleep comfortably and soundly in this bed, plus it is every bit of 12 inches (ca. 30 cm). I am very upset that it took me this long, at the age of 50, to get a bed such as this. My back feels so much better, and I can get out of bed without a lot of stiffness. I am over the moon for this mattress.”

“This mattress is certainly worth the price. It settled into its full size in a little more than 24 hours. No weird smell. It’s softer than expected. Comfortable if you like soft, but it’s definitely soft. I would not call it medium. The pillow top almost feels like an air mattress on top of a more sturdy mattress. More comfortable than an air mattress, but about the same firmness. Under the soft pillow top it seems to be a study quality mattress. It’s heavy enough to not move around on the bed frame, but easy to lift to make the bed. I do recommend this. I imagine it will serve its purpose at least for a few years. It’s our first mattress in a box. For my 6 year old it’s great. She loves it. For an adult I would recommend a firmer model, even you don’t like a firm mattress. I imagine the firm one is still cushy.”

“Going from a traditional inner spring to this was amazing. I have stayed in nicer hotels so I have slept on nicer mattresses, I did have an idea of what I was hoping for but at this price point I wasn't expecting it. Just last week I was in one of those nicer hotels with a fantastic mattress. The one I had at home was more comfortable. I already knew to expect a tall skinny heavy box so I was ready for that when it was delivered. And I knew that I wanted to make sure to unroll it in position, because it would be a bit unwieldy. Heavier than my inner spring mattress, although not significantly so, I would suggest that if you have to carry it upstairs, you have help. But I was able to sleep on it the first night. I did see complaints about the sides not being supportive. I have not found that to be the case. I have a procedure I have to go through every night and morning that has me sitting on the edge of the bed for 10 to 15 minutes at a time, so it's something I test daily. This has exceeded my expectations. I am quite happy with it. And at this price point, if it only lasts me 3 years, I'll still feel like I got my money's worth.”

“I actually purchased 4 of these mattresses. One for each kiddo, and one for myself when moving. Biggest plus is that they come in boxes and are as easy as you can expect a heavy mattress to be to move into a house. Once unwrapped and ready to sleep on it's very comfy!! I like the bounce of the springs, but theres enough padding on top that you absolutely do not feel individual springs. I'm 240lbs and don't feel any pressure points. Kids have been very pleased with them also. Both great for jumping on due to the springs, but also soft enough that they feel comfortable laying on them also.”

“This product was not as advertised. It is not 12” high, nor 74 inches long. Rather, it is 72” long and the middle of the mattress crowns at 11 1/2” after sitting and inflating for 2 weeks. The sides of the mattress measure 10” high. The mattress width is as stated in the description. We bought this mattress to fit on a platform frame for a full size bed and have had to place spacers at the head of the mattress to keep it from shifting. The mattress is comfortable for a mattress in this price range. I would caution against trusting the dimensions if you have a frame that needs a mattress with standard measurements. Delivery and packaging was excellent. Mattress was received earlier than expected.”

Finally got to the shrink wrap & put my finger thru it & OMG!! It blew up immediately to a beautiful full size cozy & firm mattress. We couldn’t get the shrink wrap off fast enuff. He slept on it that night 2 weeks ago & it’s still great. Don’t hesitate ashley Hybrid 12” was def worth the 270$”

Then, I opened the vacuum sealed plastic and it quickly began to take shape. Within 10 minutes I felt the pillow top begin to fluff up. I slept on it after letting it get back to form for 10 hours. However, having no way to haul one home from my city’s only furniture store, and unwilling to pay their exorbitant delivery fee, I took a chance on a boxed mattress. I am happy to say it was everything the description promised! It is comfortable, my back and legs no longer ache like they did with the old mattress, and set-up was literally as easy as opening a box (contrary to the manufacturer’s instructions, there is no assembly required). I can’t speak yet to its longevity as compared to a traditional mattress, but for the convenience and cost of this boxed mattress I am very satisfied.”

To my dismay it is quite firm. I don't find it plush at all really. I suppose that's what I get for ordering online without testing it first. Now I get to spend an extra $100 on a mattress topper. I'm sure it is an excellent mattress for some, and had I tried it in store I would have quickly moved on to a different one. My bf is 6'7 and 340 lbs and has a bad back and he has been sleeping great on this mattress. He says "feels like I am laying on a cloud." It is not too firm but not too soft, it is just right! It did not get up to 12 inched but close to 11 and we were ok with that because the comfort made up for it. Also, (adults only) it made s*x better. I am used to mattress sliding all around and this does not does not do that. It is just great in everyway!! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!”

I was worried about the possibility of smell with these box type mattresses because some comments were mixed on this. I’m happy to say that there was no smell. Maybe a very, very slight one if you stuck your face right up to the mattress. We let the mattress air out and expand for at least 36 hrs. Put the bedding on. Then slept on it that night at 48hrs. I’m very happy with it!! And I’m actually thinking of getting one for myself.”

Once it was delivered and I took it out of the box I realized it was much smaller than I anticipated. After a few phone calls, a representative at Ashley told me that if I were to donate the bed that they would refund me 100% of my purchase, so I could buy the queen size bed that I actually wanted. “I'm sorry, but this does not merit the "ultra" plush description, which was "ultra" important to me. I weigh 200 lbs and I do bottom out on the plush and feel the springs below. I have problems with the pressure points as a result. It came on time, and while care was needed to open up the plastic (don't want to cut open the mattress by mistake!!!) the set up went without incident. It is important to allow the full 48 hours to completely expand. I was sleeping directly on the floor as I waited for my new mattress, and so this was an exercise in self control, but it truly did keep expanding for the full 48 hours, so do be patient! It was a good price, easy ordering, and on time delivery. Feels like quality. NOT "ultra" plush though, and for that reason, I wish I'd gotten a different mattress.”

Better than the gel hybrid serta I just bought and it beats the 14 inch serta pillow top for comfort hands down. For me its a perfect mattress. Buying a mattress for someone without having them try it out can be a bit nerve wracking, but I have an Ashley mattress myself and my mom likes it. So I took a chance. The mattress arrived only two days after I ordered it, which was surprisingly fast. The only issues I had were with delivery. The UPS driver left it outside my door without knocking or ringing the bell. My neighbor knocked and let me know it was there. There were wheels on the bottom of the box which made it very easy to roll it into my moms room. After removing it from the box, we laid it on the bed and opened the vacuum sealed package. Immediately it expanded. It was fully expanded within 24 hours. Great buy for an amazing price!! I just wish it came with mattress removal lol.”

However, the hybrid mattress doesn't have the support on the long edges that I was expecting--you can feel the inner spring coils right through the fabric. Great Mattress for a AWESOME PRICE

“At first I was a little skeptical at ordering a bed in the box. Well there was no need for my skepticism. Its been 30 days now and the mattress is working perfect! As, a person who has 2 MAJOR full spine back surgeries I was in need of a VERY good mattress to replace my worn out 3k dollar mattress. So, I bought this one for my sons room as a replacement for his. So, Ive taken a few naps on this mattress and have decided to buy another for my wife and I, Just in a king size mattress. The box was delivered by UPS, its about 5 feet long and 2 feet in circumference, The box has built in wheels on one end and a handle at the other so it was VERY easy to move. We just moved to the room, cut the box end off and the matress slid right out, all wrapped in plastic. we followed the directions and cut the plastic zip like ties in the order it said too and it that was it. The mattress expanded. We did let the mattress set for 24 hours before using ( and we ran a fan in the room with the windows open,the box had a strange smell from the plastic,thats totally normal from the packaging material. The odor was gone a few hours). The next day the mattress was at its full expanded 12 inches and was very comfortable. My teenage son loves it ( he is very truthful and would have told me right away if it sucked (his words lol)..Needless to say 30 days later and he still loves it and Now Im buying our replacement.”

“When opened it immediately went to 10 inches but after 2 days it didn't change at all. I specifically bought this mattress to be 12 in deep. After 1 week of sleeping on it, I feel it sinking in the middle. I bought this for a guestroom so that I could recover after knee replacement surgery so I can't determine just yet if it's not comfortable only because of the pain I'm in or if it's just not a good mattress. Once I'm healed, I will see if my review changes and if allowed, I'll update. My very first purchase from Ashley and I can't say that I'm impressed with the quality of this product. It will still be under its warranty and I will be contacting customer service to see if they'll stand behind their product and fix this issue”
