“I love this mattress. It’s cool but even cooler if you buy the breathable Casper mattress cover, trust me, get the cover. I enjoy the lack of motion you feel from others on the mattress. It’s firm but soft, if that even makes sense. I like memory foam mattresses and this mattress has that kinda feel. I tried it before at a local mattress store and it was delivered boxed.

“I received the Snow Max and was allowing it to gas off for several days. During this time the mattress was supposed to expand to 14", but only expanded to 12". Along the sides of the mattress are what appear to be coils where there should be only smoothness.

Casper is really quick about delivering newly purchased mattresses, but don't seem interested in giving good customer service on a defective return. “Casper Snow Max is a very comfortable and supportive alignment mattress for those of with chronic back pain. It is also, however quite expensive and out of reach for many (the reason for 4 stars).
Its 4+ inches thicker than base Snow mattress and then lush memory foam top is almost 2x that of the base model! Which I had prior to this upgrade since it didn’t suit my needs. After 2 back fusions & femur fractures I was consistently walking up with back pain (4-7) on a 1-10 scale. Diabetic neuropathy was also an issue for me after living with T1D for over 50yrs now.
After about 60 day trial with base model Snow I stop had significant back discomfort & pain upon walking. Casper recommended gifting mattress and either upgrading to this max or trying another brand. Even though the entire upgrade process was riddled with problems I’m not sleeping without any back pain. Overall happy with my Casper Snow Max purchase.”

The Snow Max is in a different stratosphere from old Nova. The bed is cool to the touch and keeps it that way through the night. I’m a hot sleeper so any relief is welcomed. It’s soft but medium firm. Really supports my 240lbs frame. I toss and turn at night and it’s been that way my whole life. But the Snow Max had sleeping on my side and I didn’t once wake up…well until the alarm went off. Casper really hit this outta the park. I love the Snow Max!”

“After shopping for mattresses for years I finally found the bed for me! I am a side sleeper, 5’4”, 155 lbs with a partner.
Coming from an all memory foam, the motion isolation isn’t as good, but still fantastic. My partner doesn’t wake me when coming to bed.
I can sleep on my side for hours and not feel like I have to switch sides. I sink a tiny bit, making it harder to move compared to a more responsive mattress, but I’m ok with that. I really love the feel of memory foam and was so happy to find this hybrid. I feel very supported with the zones and springs.
I am still waking a little hot, but it’s not bad. I’ve tried both my percale and linen sheets.
Despite being advertised as in stock and would ship in two days at the time, it took three weeks to arrive. Be aware if you’re desperate for a quick delivery, it might take longer. Worth the wait! Now I just hope it lasts a long time!”

Not sure if the cooling tech is as noticeable as advertised but in all honesty we use a bed pad and wear pajamas, so…. If you’re thinking it’s like laying over a tray of ice, it’s not. By it pulling heat away it keeps you cooler, but it not like you feel the cold, if that makes sense. We have only had this for 1 week but my wife and I are very happy with it, and assume it will only get better as we progress through the break in period. We tried Purple and Puffy. Both of these were sent back for refund. Casper nailed it.”

Coming from a memory foam topper, where I slept hot almost every night, the difference is remarkable. The zones support is evident as well, I wake up with no shoulder pain and no sore hips. We are side sleepers, with one occasionally a back sleeper and the other occasionally a stomach, and all positions feel comfortable and supported. The only thing to watch for is sheets, one of our sets isn’t quite deep enough for the mattress depth. Unboxing is easy, it fully fluffed within a few hours, and we noticed no smells or off gassing even straight out of the box”

“I purchased a king size snow max mattress a week ago. It's a very heavy, thick and tall mattress. Unfortunately there's no straps on the sides to help you move it, which is a shame. I've had less shoulder/hip pain, which I was having with my prior organic mattress, which was horrible. I won't name them but they start with an "A" and it's the name of a fruit that is green inside with a seed. Hahaha. Anyways with this mattress you kind of sink a bit when you sleep but not in a bad way, due to this it's harder to toss and turn which could be good for some. Also you really won't feel your sleeping partner when they toss and turn. The cooling effect decreases a lot once you put a sheet on it. I've tried different sheets and it's not as cool as it is when it doesn't have a sheet on. Definitely go to the store and test it out. I think if you are buying this mattress because you like how it feels when you lie down then go ahead but I wouldn't buy it solely on the cooling effect.”

Maybe because I’m fairly light (5’8” and 115-120 pounds), I’ve always found other mattresses to be too firm. I’m much more comfortable in this bed. It also does a good job of not causing me to overheat. Finally, it is too early to know whether it will be durable. As soft as it is, I hope it doesn’t form a crater where I sleep, but as I have only had the mattress for 4-6 weeks, I can’t comment on this aspect.”

“Really excellent back support and great cooling. I sleep hot and this really helps. It’s feels cool when you get in the bed, and then slowly brings you up to what I call ‘Neutral.’ You don’t get hot, just a very relaxing mid-point between cool and too warm. The bed immediately responds with the support you need when you roll to either side. No delay is waiting for memory foam to respond. I’m very satisfied with my choice of the Wave Hybrid Snow.”

We got to try it out before purchasing and also compared it against other Casper mattresses at the Casper store as well as Tempur-Pedic and Sleep Number which was a plus as the price tag is hefty. They delivered it fairly quickly (7 days from order) and the setup was easy. We also purchased the adjustable base which we highly recommend as it takes the mattress to the next level. I was pleasantly surprised how easy the setup for the adjustable base was and we were able to get everything setup in under 15 minutes!”

Good and Comfortable Mattress

“We have had the Casper mattress for over a month and we find it to be comfortable and cool while supplying the support we need. We replaced a Sterns and Forster pillow top with box springs which was very high from the ground and required us to almost need a ladder to get into the bed . It retained body heat for quite a while.
We purchased the Casper mattress and wood frame which is low to the ground and easy for us to get in and out. and it provides the bedroom "look" we wanted.
The SF was so heavy that we had a great deal of difficulty rotating the mattress 180 degrees on schedule. Though heavy, we can lift the Casper mattress to rotate it 180 degrees.
We have found the Casper hybrid provides both firmness and good support with the cushion of comfort while remaining cool.”

“Overall, my husband and I like the mattress. My only complaint is that it’s not worth the money to get the “Snow”. We have noticed absolutely no difference in temperature or a cooler night’s sleep. We live in Louisiana, but we keep our room at 66 degrees at night and our house stays at a constant 70 degrees during the day. There’s absolutely no difference in temperature with this mattress. On the upside, the mattress is very comfortable and the ease of shipping and setup was very nice.”

“Awesome bed! I’m very conscious of my posture, lower back health and prevention of lower back pain. I’m also a very hot sleeper. This bed is perfect as the lumbar support, which is placed in a way where an individual of any heigh can use, has helped me wake up without any back soreness and my posture has also gotten better. I still have yet to wake up in in sweat and no longer wake up tossing and turning trying to get comfortable. This was the best decision I’ve made in a long time as sleep quality is related to everything. I originally bought the Casper mattress model that Costco offered and went into the retail store to swap out bedding I had purchased online. “I am about 6ft ~ 230lbs so considered a large sleeper who sleeps on my belly/side/sometimes back, so I needed a mattress that would accomodate everything for my frame. My previous mattress is comfortable but a bit firm so I need pillows to help me optimize, but with my modifications relatively good. However, I was looking for something with support, yet also soft all in one.
I've heard a lot about Casper mattresses which was further supported by my daughter, who is as much of a tight-wad as I am and investigates every purchase way too much, ultimately suggesting Casper as her favorite. Based on reviews from multiple sources (somewhat biased by Consumer Reports which has a solid reputation and has an extensive side by side baseline comparisson for many brands that gave me comfort in my decision) I decided on Casper. But what model....
I wanted Hybrid, and the Oiginal Hybrid seemed to consistently be my favorite with the Nova a bit softer (good for lighter folks). The Wave was closer to the original but more money and still not quite as good as the orginal so I could not justify the extra cost. I had my decsion, but decided to go into the local Casper store to give one last try and purchase.
At the store, my trial 5-10 min per mattress supported my decision. However.. The Wave Hybrid -Snow with coolling was not in my considerations prior as I couldn't find a worthy review yet.. (I guess it's too new). This mattress, fortunately for Casper (and me) happened to be on sale just for the weekend, along with the others, but the Wave hybrid Snow had the best incentive.) So I tried it out...
Then my son came to meet me (20 yrs old, 6'3 and probably about 180lbs) and without any facts, I had him try out all the mattresses. His opinion... 1) Original Hybrid over the Nova and the Wave. It just felt better... HOWEVER... When the Wave Hybrid Snow (with cooling) was tried.. that magical cooling feature seemed to make a ton of difference. That put it tops on the list. (With no price considerations..) To top it off.. for that weekend there was a sale that weekend with $1000 off this mattress only. (Everything else was 20% off. Net is I ended up buying the Casper Wave Hybrid Snow for about $850 more than I would have paid for the Original Hybrid. (Queen size)
I have had this think for 6 days so far.. I can honestly say I've had the deepest sleep for as long as I can remember. The jury is out on whether this will continue, but so far I am extremely happy with my purchase. I would highly recommend to everyone.”

“We purchased the king twin adjustable. It kept slipping and making a big space between the two mattresses. We found a product on Amazon that secured the mattresses from sliding. The product was similar to the bars at the end of the bed that keep the mattresses from slipping down. Then we had to find a product to fill in the void between the mattresses. Due to the cost of the mattresses and the extra work to get the bed suitable to us, I would not purchase it again. Bottom line the mattresses is great, the set up is flawed in our opinion.”

“37 nights on this mattress and it doesn’t live up to the hype. Seems to be a good mattress, better than most but not as comfortable as advertised or as reviews would lead you to believe. The “Plush” is really just the Pillow top. The rest of the mattress is quite firm. Laying on my side my hip does not sink in enough to get my spine straight. I expected better from a $3400 mattress. Serta makes a hybrid with the same layers of foam that can be found for $1000. I intend to send the Casper back and try the Serta.”
