“I LOVE my GhostBed Adjustable bed frame!! I had a cheaply made platform bed with thin wooden slats, which broke after less than a year. I was looking for metal frames for better support, and came across the GhostBed site. I almost bought the stationary metal frame, but the 4th of July sale wss so good, after a bit of research re mattresses, etc. I decided to invest in the Adjustable Base with massage, and I love it!! I was able to use my own hybrid mattress, bed frame and headboard, so it looks great, and was very easy to assemble (it is very heavy though, so help is needed). It was very easy to hook up (one plug to connect components to electronic box, then plug into wall)! I use the functions daily, and so far, so good after a month of use. I'm so happy I upgraded - I never thought I would own an adjustable bed. Happy Customer!!”

“Our friends teased us for getting an adjustable base for our bed, because we’re only 35 and 40 yrs old; saying that they’re only for elderly people who can’t get out of bed without help. They were so wrong. We love our split king adjustable bases! These are for anyone who wants to enjoy sleeping like a baby every night! We bought the split king bases and paired ours with a different hybrid mattress company, but it works beautifully. The motor is very quiet, responsive and sturdy. The installation was so quick, twist on the legs and connect the cables. The hardest part is flipping them over and positioning them in our existing bedframe but they fit perfectly without any issues. The massage feature is amazing, it’s not like getting a massage by a therapist by any means but it is relaxing and feels nice. Even with a 10” thick mattress, we can feel the vibration without issues. The preset TV and Reading options are too upright for us, even if you take away your pillows. Your head is just too far up; so we just manually adjust to sit up to watch tv or read at night. My husband sleeps with the zero gravity preset every night. “My Friend had the bed already for a long time, he showed me all the features and the things the frame brought, lights on the bottom of the frame, the base capabilities, I was impressed, specially the price tag, he had it for a long time and he hasn’t had any issues with his bed. The instructions were also easy and clear to understand, the pictures of the components really help in doing the set up One minor issue I had, I wish the wire that comes from the bed to adapter was at least 3 or 2 feet longer. Also when I receive mine there was one minor issue, the power adapter didn’t work after a week of use, so I contacted costumer service, they send me an email to send some pictures and additional information, later on after a week I got a new adapter that work perfectly for now, hopefully everything is good, The base is actually quite heavy but is totally worth it, it fits comfort with the bed frame I currently have and I can easily access the bottom of my bed without having to lift anything. Over all I think is a good base and I’m going to give GhostBed the benefit of the doubt on my situation because sometimes things happen and my friends base has last him years already so hopefully my base last me a while”

This base comes with all the bells and whistles. I mostly use the raised head and foot feature. I'm elderly and have chronic pain in my shoulders, back and hips. I'm able to adjust the bed so I'm able to sleep. This base is so much better than a hospital bed! The base is heavy so you do need at least two strong men to install it.”

“There are a lot of reviews that are mentioning late shipping but that’s not what I experienced at all! The customer support team was quick to address any concerns. My only issue with delivery was the package is just one super heavy box (so damage occurred while in transit to the packaging, not the bed or frame itself). Now onto the bed— it’s amazing! Seriously amazing. The massage feature is a tiny bit loud but you can’t hear it outside a door, so that’s great. ZeroGravity feature is wonderful, and I’m constantly using the Book or TV feature to prop myself up when working from home. The remote has a handy flashlight, and there’s a button that illuminates lights under the bed if you need to locate anything. Bed itself is actually pretty high up so you can store things underneath still—bonus! I can’t attest to other mattresses & their functionality with this bed frame, but I can say that with our memory foam mattress, it works beautifully. The only thing I would suggest, is to purchase sheets that are a size larger than your mattress. When it’s switching into different adjustments, your sheets can spring off, but that’s a really tiny “issue” when compared to all of the wonderful features of this bed. If you’re looking for a great addition to your bedroom, an upgraded night’s sleep, and unparalleled comfort— definitely grab yourself a GhostBed (or memory foam mattress) and splurge on this frame. The only downside? You won’t ever want to get out of bed!”

I mistakenly ordered a set of adjustable legs and when I tried to return them, after making close to a $5,000 purchase, I was treated with disrespect and told that I would have to pay a restocking fee. It was an honest mistake. And, my husband refused a shipment from Ghostbed thinking it was something else, and I contacted both FedEx and Ghostbed to have them re-deliver the shipment and both said it was impossible. It was not impossible -- it was inconvenient for Ghostbed. So, overall, the bed is great, but the return policies and customer service are not.”

“I've had the 2 Twin XL bases for almost 1 month now. It was easy to assemble and it works well but the vibration in the highest setting is kind of loud. I live in a condo and If i had a unit under us I'm not sure if it would be too loud to use when I'm laying in bed later in the night. If i was to purchase a base like this again I'm not sure I would not spend the extra money on the massage function. I was excited about the Zero Gravity but I find it uncomfortable as my body slants back too much. Mattress slides to the outside a little so another retainer bar that holds the mattress might be helpful, like the one at the foot of the bed, but most bases out there don't have this extra bar either. I like the height of the legs and I can store items under the bed. The lights under the base are nice and my cats get a kick out of it. Beware that when the back rises it pushes you up and away from your side table so if you are having a drink you can't just reach over and rest the glass on the table. I didn't like the fact that this item can not be returned. It's a lot of money for not being returnable. Costco sells it so I would probably purchase there so you can return it if you don't like it.”

There are more uses than you’d think

“I bought this for my grandfather who needed help sitting up and down in a bed and also getting comfortable while he was very sick. The joy this bed brought him was amazing. He learned the controls easy, and was happy he could change his position without having to call for help. He compared it to an at home hospital bed, but with a couple extra features (like the massager and underneath lighting). When it arrived (queen size) we picked it up from outside and brought it up to the bedroom. Although it was considerably heavy, it was very sturdy. Setting it up (installation) was quite easy to complete. It only took about 10-15 minutes once unwrapped. I didn’t like that some of the cords appeared loose underneath the bed, but it is underneath and no one would ever see it. I put the batteries in and it started working instantly with their old mattress. It was perfect! The one thing I would recommend to GhostBed, add a wrist wrap feature for the elderly/sick so they won’t continuously lose the remote. That was the only thing I had to continually help grandpa do. It wouldn’t be useful for most, but that extra option would be nice. Or maybe a wall/furniture holder? (I didn’t see one but it doesn’t mean it isn’t an option!)”

“Installation was so easy. Anyone could do it. It’s incredibly heavy but I got it upstairs with two other people. The only three problems— One, one of the poles I got wasn’t properly threaded. So I felt like that was going to be a problem one day. I know it was probably just a manufacturing mistake, so I wouldn’t return it over that. Two, it says all memory foam mattresses work, mine has become much firmer kind if uncomfortable and when I tilt the bed, it leaves a huge gap between the frame and mattress. I thought the legs were maybe too big but I actually like the ability to clean all the dust bunnies that accumulate under the bed. The light under the bed allows me to see them better too. Love the fact I can now sit up to watch tv in bed snd my shoulder pain from sleeping too flat has almost disappeared. The only criticism I have is the instructions (including the remote definitions) were all in French. I tried calling but was on hold forever, also the lights on the vibration buttons don’t light up. Other than that, I’m so happy I got this bed!”

I recently have had a catheter put inside me and the adjustability of the bed is awesome! I may end up ordering the shorter 6 inch legs later in the year and perhaps the head/footboard attachments. The only major problem is the footboard steel bracket; my Tempurpedic mattress is 13 inches thick.When I want to raise the foot, the sheets get jammed into the steel bracket-I have to remember to life my feet and the sheets/blanket at the same time as the mattress foot is rising. “Everything about the bed is great except one issue. --There were 2-3 screws from the frame that were loose and 1 just fell out. I was able to screw them all back in tightly. Think I saw some reviews state there is a clicking sound when moving. The only time you hear a brief/whisper quiet click is when the bed starts to initially move or stop moving. Raises and lowers just fine and holds place if you want. The LED lights underneath it are SUPER bright! Massagers are nice, but I dont use that often. Remote control lights up and is very bright blue color when you push a button. I have a Nectar Lush mattress on it and it holds in place excellent. Keeping bed in position for long periods of time does not permanently distort mattress either. Important!: I got a Queen, and you will need help moving it. As it is heavy. Very simple to setup otherwise...screw in 6 legs and attach a few plugs. Crazy thought, but how about a feature where there is an alarm clock and the alarm is the massagers coming on? I would recommend it, and it is my first ever adjustable base.”

“It was touch and go for a little while. My snoring at night would drive my wife crazy, because naturally I would fall asleep before her. With the adjustable base, my wife can raise the head of my side (split king) without waking me, allowing her to get some sleep too. The disappointing part of the split king, is how the beds can shift creating more of a gap. I feel that if there were some sort of edge secure, similar to the foot secure, it would tie them more securely together. I will say that I recommend a split king to couples who may have different sleep patterns, especially with snoring. It has made a world of difference.”

King Mattress & Two Twin XL Bases

“The bases arrived quickly. The instructions were simple, although the order they had you connect the cords was strange (would’ve been easier had it listed it a step sooner). We paired our twin bases together for our king mattress. There is a slight lag between them (they don’t work exactly simultaneously), but it’s not significant enough to be a problem. The USB ports are handy, the under the bed light is nice, the massage isn’t amazing, the only level that I feel would be potentially beneficial is the highest level, but it’s an interesting add in feature. I like it but my husband doesn’t. It’s nice that it has a timer setting so you can fall asleep and it will turn off. We got the Lux mattress. I haven’t gotten hot/sweaty at night, so I think the cooking feature is working well. My husband initially thought it might be too soft when it arrived, but after his first night sleeping on it he commented that it was a really good combo of firm but soft. Supportive but you sink in a little too. He surprisingly said “maybe it’s actually worth the money it cost!” My only complaints are these: 1) I bought the mattress over Labor Day. A couple days later, while their Labor Day sales were still active, I decided I wanted to upgrade to a Bundle with an adjustable base. I called to see how to go about upgrading (do I send back mattress and then buy the combo package, or can I just pay the difference to upgrade to a combo bundle?) but they said it wasn’t an option. I had to keep the mattress for 30 days before returning it (which isn’t clear in their 100 day return advertising) and I could only return due to a comfort issue, not to upgrade to a bundle. So I was disappointed in the way that was handled. Since their bases were still on sale, I lost around $300 compared to the Bundle price. 2) The mattresses came out of the box with sawdust/wood chips on their underside. Not a ton, but noticeable and questionable considering their cost.”

“I bought the split king base, two XL Twin bases in tandem. I justified the extra expense thinking they were made in the USA, but alas, the box was marked "Made in China." So much for supporting the American worker. That said, these are excellent bases. I'm nearly 72 years old and was able to unpack and install them in my traditional Rice bed frame by myself. The only thing keeping it from earning 5 stars is that a couple of cable ties were missing from the underside of one of them, causing the LED lights to come unplugged and separate from the frame when the legs went up. After spending some quality time underneath the bed, I got that fixed and all is well.”

I haven't gotten around to using all of the features, because I haven't had a chance to read the manual. One more thing, the mattresses expanded fairly quickly and when we rolled them out and removed the plastic, there was a GhostBed Tshirt in each mattress. Thanks GhostBed. Now, my neighbor did tell my husband that the name of the GhostBed was kind of freaking her out. Oh well, she isn't going to be sleeping in the beds.”

The base was really easy to put together, the headboard brackets were pretty challenging, but we did figure it out after moving the them this way and that. The base is awesome, it works really well. Syncing was simple and straightforward and they do still send the second remote so it is nice to have a spare. We have a bed skirt (we just poked a couple of holes in the fabric so it would slide over the bars and the LED lights are still bright enough to illuminate the ground in the night. I would definitely recommend this base! One star removed because it took so long for us to get”

Long shipping wait due to... covid?

“While I LOVE this base, I recommend you have help when you move this into your home. It is quite heavy. Assembly was quick and easy. I did not enjoy the excessively long wait for it to ship. A week after order, we got an email saying it shipped. A few days later we received, not the base, but the mattress itself. Then we were told shipping the base would take longer due to COVID-19. That was all fine. Another email came saying base shipped. We received instead, our shredded pillows. Again, we received another email, this time stating that the base was on backorder. In all, it took two months after the time we received our mattress go get our base.”

“Overall we are very pleased with our purchase. I love the firmness of the mattress which I was aware of but it was a little too firm for my husband, just a heads up. The reason for four stars is because the setup wasn’t as easy as stated, the motor on one of the bases wasn’t attached and when we turned it over, it literally fell to the floor. Luckily my husband is super handy and could tell right where it was supposed to be attached and modeled the 2nd base to ensure it was put back where it belonged. We love the functions and the especially the massage feature!”

“Researched various adjustable bases before buying GhostBed and I'm very pleased! The transition is pretty smooth with the adjustments. I have been using the zero gravity setting for sleeping and I don't wake up with lower back pain anymore! I tend not to use the preset TV and reading modes because I found them to be too upright but it's easy enough to adjust the foot and bed manually. I was also skeptical of the massage feature but I was pleasantly surprised you can actually feel the vibrations over the mattress. It's fairly quiet too! The under-bed light, flashlight on the remote control are such nice features that I didn't find in other brands. I also like that you can add a headboard to the base.”

I can finally sleep in my bed

“For the past 2+ years, I’ve been sleeping on our couch because I needed to sleep with my head raised up some And our old mattress dipped backwards lol. It was so uncomfortable, but better than lying uneven with springs poking in my back. My sinuses drained, I tossed and turned, I snored (he snored!) and I didn’t get good rest. It took several days to adjust to the mattress, because my body just wasn’t used to sleeping good- I had to basically adjust to proper sleep, and find my correct position .... but now I sleep like a baby. I also used to lay awake for hours every night because of anxiety and insomnia... but now I Set my sleep position and turn that massage feature and zzzzzzz. OUT. They were so easy to set up, too. We had them up and ready in minutes! My only “complaint” and it’s not even a big one... I wish I could figure out a way to make them slide less. Since we have 2 twin power bases, they aren’t connected and the straps don’t seem to hold them together well enough. Also the legs slide on the hardwood floor. So we have to line them up several times a day and push them back together... any suggestions on keeping them together and in one spot? (But that’s not a real complaint... I’ll take that minor inconvenience over sleeping on the couch any day!)”

Solid Product, Poor Logistics (FedEX).

“The process of selecting the right Ghostbed to setting it all up was very well documented and demonstrated. Everything you need to know about the product you choose can be found on their website or answered by one of their support representatives. Unfortunately, they've decided to send their product to you via FedEx, EXCLUSIVELY. FedEx missed the ETA they provided, twice. After reaching out to FedEx, without resolve, I contacted GhostBed support via online chat. I told the representative about all the effort I had put forth in preparation for the arrival of my new bed, which all had to be undone, and she assured me that my order would arrive the following day. I activated alerts via the FedEx website to track this delivery. When I was alerted to another ETA change by FedEx, I called GhostBed support three times in one hour. While I was ready to wait, the automated system eventually forced me to leave a message, which I did two of the three times I called. Nobody called me back, so I used the online chat support again. This time the support wasn't so supportive, as I was ready to cancel my order. Thankfully, I finally received my GhostBed and I love it! I've only had it for about two weeks, so I can't testify to its longevity, but it does meet all the expectations that you might have after engaging in their marketing campaign.”

I was going to just replace the mattress only & keep old base but realized the Ghost Flex Mattress was almost 2 inches wider so I ordered a new base too. I have lots more room. The adjustments are perfect. Pressure points don't ache any more. Love the vibes & under bed light. I'm in my 60's & plump, the Flex holds me quite well. My husband & I each have twin XL beds pushed together to form a king. We each have very different positions. He kept his old bed. Bet he'll change his mind soon.”

I want mine on until I decide to turn it off. If the unit was RGB, I'd probably keep it on if I could choose a red or blue color. This is the reason for the 4 star. It would be a 5 star otherwise. If this is fixed in the future, then an upgrade kit should be available for us with the old type.”

“I purchased a split king setup and both my wife and I love the power bases along with our 3D matrix mattresses and Ghost Bed pillows. The bases are smooth, quiet and very sturdy. With our bed being a split king we do not have any sliding around of our mattresses like I have heard from others that have different split king setups. The remote is great all buttons are backlit with a built in flashlight which comes in handy. The present buttons are awesome and I love the one touch flat button when you are ready to go to sleep. The massage features are ok but I didn’t purchase my bed or bases for that. I have also tried other competitors bases at retail stores and I really wasn’t impressed with their massage feature either. The under bed LED lights are bright and work great. Setup is super easy and there is an instructional video on the Ghost Bed website. You should absolutely have another person help you with positioning the bases inside of a bed frame if that is going to be your setup. All in all this is a great power base system and the value for the quality and features are unmatched. I have and continue recommend Ghost Bed products to my family and friends.”

Sleeping without pain

“Other than a glitch in setting the base up (mostly due to my own stupidity), the entire ghostbed experience has been awesome. Due to a chronic hip condition & RA, I've been sleeping on a recliner for the past 2 years. The first night in my ghostbed, after a little discomfort getting on it due to the height being a bit taller than I would like, was able to adjust the head & feet to achieve a pain-free status, something mostly unheard of for me. I also suffer from lymphoma, causing my ankles & feet to swell, be painful. Not only did I sleep a consecutive 6 hours (HUGE for me), I noticed my feet were almost completely flat for first time in almost a year. If you have trouble sleeping or ANY kind of chronic pain, I cannot recommend this product enough. If there would be any downside, I felt the pillows that while really comfy sleep warm as do the sheets; I'll just go back to flannel. To the inventor of the bed & base, I sincerely thank you”

Finally sleeping again

The massage feature and Zero Gravity features are the best. Drawbacks: I haven't been able to get any of the 4 USB ports to work on the frame. I've plug and unplugged the bed but that hasn't gotten them to work. Also, the predefined memory setting for the TV mode literally bends the bed into a pretzel. I would love to override the setting to something that works best for me (like the memory setting.)”

I'm often adjusting in pitch blackness, so some variety to the shape of the remote so I know which end is up, and the buttons themselves, so I know what I'm hitting. A tether for the remote would help too. Having a control panel on the frame of the bed would be good for when I lose the remote. I may order another remote and attach it to the bed as a backup. The bed itself works wonderfully and the massage feature is a nice plus. Overall, very well executed and delightfully easy to assemble and use.”

“I was intrigued in getting an adjustable base when we went to get our new bed. We went with the Ghostbed Luxe and purchased the adjustable base with it. Let me tell you, it has worked wonders for my back. I work in the entertainment industry, and I am on my feet all day going up stairs, walking through studios, in lifts etc. My bad was always sore and I would not get comfortable or get a good nights sleep in our old bed. We had a nice bed (double pillow top for a nice brand name) but I wouldn’t get comfortable. Now with the adjustable base, I have a setting that elevates the feet and head slightly and I sleep like a baby. I normally would toss and turn between back, stomach and side but not anymore. Most nights I sleep all night long on my back and don’t love until the alarm goes off. Hopefully we will be ordering the mattress protector and pillows soon to finish off the whole Ghostbed experience. Also, our 4 year old daughter loves to set her setting to watch a little tv before bed, and she’s out in less than 10 minutes normally and sleeps through us moving her to her own bed. We have already recommended Ghostbed to a lot of family and friends, and will continue to do so.”
