“I loved this mattress the first few months we had it, well other than it being shorter than a regular queen size. But for some reason things have changed and we've had it now about 7/8 months and it's sagging in the middle already and I feel like I'm sleeping on a hill, not even just the middle part, on my side the middle goes up and head part goes down I don't know why and it's making me so sad cause I loved how it was in the beginning it was like a cloud. I haven't tried to return it but am thinking about it. I just keep hoping it'll magically go back to feeling like a cloud again.”

Not worth it

“As someone who struggles with chronic pain, my husband and I were very excited about our Purple Mattress. Within 30 days, the mattress had an indentation in the middle as if it had "sunk in" and that made sleep impossible. We sent pictures to Purple and they quickly provided a replacement. Once we received our replacement mattress, the "10 year warranty" was null and void and the very same thing happened with the replacement mattress, but it sank on one side instead of in the middle. After thousands of dollars spent and two Purple Matresses that made sleep miserableat best, we are once again mattress shopping. Purple will never get our business again.”

“I have had this mattress for about 5 weeks now. It has helped tremendously with my lower back pain. I have a herniated disk and I new it was time for a new mattress because my old one felt like it was just making things worse. This one has exceeded my expectations. When I wake up in the morning, I'm not bending over to put my hands on my knees to help me get up. Now I just have a hard time getting up because I don't want to get out my bed!”

Horrific Service-months wait for replacement

“Ordered Mattress direct from Purple. Took over 8 weeks to receive. Delivery company was very unorganized, took 3 attempts of coordination to get mattress here. Purple unaware of the service setup with a delivery company they choose. Purple wanted me to file claim when we could not figure where my delivery was. I still had no product but the burden of follow up, Purple wanted me to manage. Mattress finally arrives and its damaged from forklift gauging the bottom of the mattress through the plastic. Delivery company takes photos sends them their management and Purple. Thank God I had them send me copies of the photos. We had our old mattress removed, so we opted to keep the damaged one, since it did not effect the top where we would sleep. Purple reached out and said we will give you $450 discount if you are willing to keep. I paid almost $5,000 for the KING Mattress!!!!! that was a joke. So I requested to replace. Now Purple wants me to file a claim form to be able to get a replacement. The delivery company sent all the documentation of the damage. So here I am another 8 weeks after the delivery date, and still going through the process. The amount of time I have into all this management is unacceptable. I have loved the purple product and promoted it. All you potential buyers should be aware of how this company is now operating. Something is definitely wrong their process and expectations of the consumer. I am done with purple!!!!!!!!!”

Squishy jiggly mattress. Sleeps cool, somewhat alien.

“My wife insisted on getting a Purple mattress after her sister got one. Here sister got a "regular" king with an adjustable base but couldn't fully use the base because her husband didn't like the same settings she did. We got a split king and it solved that problem but created a different problem.
With the split king, the mattresses tend to drift apart if you want to cuddle with your partner. It would be nice if the mattress had some straps and clips to hold them together.
The second night I ended up with a horrible pain in my neck, I had to bump up my sleeping pillow count to 2 to get rid of the problem.
The mattress feels like you're sleeping on Jello or gummy bears, it's kind of an alien feeling that takes awhile to get used to.
We got the mattress because my wife was having joint pain and it's helped with that, but as far as I'm concerned, I would have been just as happy with a less expensive mattress.
The mattresses are pretty bulky, heavy and difficult to move around. Pretty much a pain in the behind from that standpoint.
Conclusion: If you have joint or back pain it's worth trying out, but if you're in relatively good health, the bed's not worth the extra money you have to pay for it.”

“Here we are late Oct, we had the purple hybrid & 2 purple pillows since April. Well at first it was great, slept good, didn't toss or turn. Well last 2 or 3 months sleep has been not so great. You would think after spending 4500 on a mattress & pillows every night would be amazing... well no... I toss turn, move around, even have hip pain at times. the mattress sank in & now there is a sink hole. Honestly I feel ripped off. I got a 400 pound foam block now. Like I said, should of stuck with a normal mattress. This thing is nit worth it.”

“We purchased our 1st Purple about 5 years ago-has held up perfect; the good ol Purple 2. It has always been a great mattress, since our Son needed a bed, we were ready to try a new one. We ordered the Purple Restore Plus (aka Purple 3) as the upgrade. I am a combo sleeper with my husband, but sleep on my side alot. The 1" of extra grid is amazing for a side sleeper, you just melt into the bed. I was also surprised it still took us about 21 days to adjust to the slightly new softness. We loved the Purple 2 and didn't expect a big change-but 1" was a huge change for us. We are not looking back! Add in the Free Form grid pillows for neck pain and its the perfect night's sleep!”

“I like the Purple pillows and cushions, but had a terrible experience with the mattress. It arrived damaged, and manufacture date was 5 years ago. I still have it a try, but it was terrible for back pain.
The only goos thing is that it did keep me cool.
Returned it and have tried to get a refund, but no one is responding to me about the refund.”

Worst Mattress ever purchased at the highest price

“We purchased this mattress, it cost us over $4,000 after taxes, a few days after purchasing, I noticed I was having bad hip pain. The hip pain progressed, I contacted the mattress store and they stated that we had to wait a full 30 days before exchanging the mattress. After the 30 days, we had to wait 2 more months for another mattress to be available (also had to pick only one that was of equal or higher value which limited our options-never purchase from American Mattress either). I had to resort to sleeping on the couch to get actual sleep because I was losing sleep. I contacted purple and got an automated response saying my issues were being looked into, that was over a month ago. I now have spent over $500 on massage therapy to try and get my hip back to normal, have spent $$ on doctor visits, and now have to start physical therapy for an issue I have never had in my life. I am 43 years old, have slept on my side my whole life and have never had an issue with my hip, imagine developing an issue from a $4,000 mattress that's slogan is "Less pain. Better sleep." Save yourself a lot of pain and frustration and buy a regular mattress, it smelled horribly like chemicals as well.”

Life Saver: Purple Restore Premiere Firm

“Can you be in love with a mattress? The answer is YES! I am a 6' 4", 230 lb. male side sleeper who had a hip replacement. I am also into physical fitness and yoga so I appreciate the purple hyper-elastic polymer GelFlex grid, which regulates my body temperature keeping me cool; and allows my pointy and heavier parts to conform and go deeper into the mattress while keeping my spine in alignment. I find myself going to bed early now and I am dreaming again LOL. This mattress has memory foam topped coils and has such a unique sensation of support when settling into the mattress. It is very responsive to your body movements making it easy to get in and out of bed. I can sit anywhere on this bed and it is comfortable even on the edges. I am sharing this information because the mattress is that good; and I want Purple to succeed in business because I will be ordering another bed in future years. Anyone who has a purple mattress should purchase 4-way stretch jersey knit t-shirt soft bottom sheets as it allows you to stay cool and feel the grid work its magic. I use my cotton top sheets because it feels better and does not cling to your body. LOVE PURPLE!”

“The bed is okay but I'm having trouble finding a pillow to complement the mattress and offer proper support. You do sink into the mattress. It does t feel too hot. But without a good pillow, your shoulders and neck don't align in the mattress. The harmony pillow that came with the mattress doesn't offer any support. I'm not sure I'll be keeping this mattress because I wake up with pain and stiffness that give me headaches.”

“We have only one issue that we wish the manufacturer would do is to put some side handles on each side. This way we can maneuver the purple mattress onto our bed box frame a lot easier.
