A great base that would be perfect with a little improvement

“The base has been wonderful and works great. I love the ease of use and app control. My only issue is that it could use some polishing. There is a jolt when first moving the head of the bed up, almost as if it sticks then breaks free. Not a big deal most of the time but it wakes up the other person when raising the head for snoring for example. I don't remember the nicer base having this jolt when I tested it in the showroom.”

I also had surgery and it was so nice to be able to sit up, and also elevate my legs. My son also broke his leg, and it was so nice to put him in our bed and elevate his leg when he needed it. I highly suggest this purple adjustable bedframe, it is very supportive and it fits in most bed frames. This was a great purchase!”

“We got our power base and cannot believe how much of a difference it makes in our Purple Premier mattress. We love the way you can do three of your favorite presets. We use one of them for "changing the sheets" mode, which makes it a breeze. It has a NIGHTLIGHT and it's automatic! I think our favorite feature is the massage. Every night for thirty minutes on the timer feet and head massage. It literally lulls you to sleep. Hotels are awful without our mattress and base 😹 I would seriously buy it again and again. Oh, and you can vacuum all the way under it if it's on the highest notches. You won't be sorry, it's worth the investment! And yes, our cats love the massage as well.”

“The leg attachments are easy to over tighten and not great. The remotes are annoying if you have the split king. In order to move both sides of the bed you have to have a sync cable. That's really annoying when you have girlfriend stay few nights a week or you have to use both remotes. To raise each side. When raised and turning over you can hear some squeaks. Headboard attachment had to be bought separately. It does do what it says. Does have a good warranty and seems to hold up so far. Mattress do slide around easily on the canvas too. For the price point I think is a bit high for what other companies offer in that price range. I like keeping the same brands together and maybe it has/will improve in those trouble areas.”

Right away, we knew that we had to get them together to maximize the full Purple bed experience. Being able to turn the bed into a seat, recliner, or lounger is a game changer. I've never had that option and now that we do, it's nice and I can't go back. It gives me another comfortable place in the house to sit and lounge. We've also watched movies projected on our bedroom wall while sitting up on our bed. It was easy to put together and simple to operate. The only complaint I have is that it shifts our heating mattress cover a bit and the whole mattress moves forward some. So when I make it go back flat, there's more space between the top of the mattress and the headboard. I just adjust it back by lifting up the foot of the mattress all the way and then making it go flat again. Other than that, it's been a great upgrade. We put a bed skirt around it to make it look nicer and there's a lot of space to put stuff under the bed. We love our Purple bed set (RestorePlus Hybrid + Premium Smart Base)!”

“I am extremely disappointed and frustrated with my recent experience. I feel misled and taken advantage of by the company's deceptive sales practices and lack of transparency regarding their return policy.
I placed an order totaling approximately $8,000 for beds and frames. Prior to purchasing, I was explicitly told I had a 90-day window and that everything—aside from pillows and mattress covers—was fully refundable. Based on this assurance, I proceeded with the purchase.
Shortly after receiving the items, I realized that one of the bases and mattresses was the wrong size. I had mistakenly believed my previous mattress was a California King, but it was actually a standard King. I immediately contacted the company to report the issue and request an exchange. The items were completely unused and in brand-new condition.
To my surprise, I was told that the base was not returnable—something that was never communicated to me at the time of purchase. This was a complete contradiction to what I had been told. Given this misinformation and lack of transparency, I decided to return the mattresses instead, as I no longer feel comfortable supporting a business that engages in deceptive practices.
Now, I am being told that I must pay $300 in return fees for the mattresses—again, something that was never disclosed to me. I was clearly promised a 100-night free trial and full refunds on all items except pillows and protectors. Nowhere was a return fee mentioned.
This experience has been incredibly frustrating, and I feel deeply misled. I am requesting at minimum to exchange the brand new bed and base for correct king size or full refund without any penalties or fees, in alignment with the original terms I was promised at the time of sale because I can't use the base that doesn't even work with a king size bed.
I was told that the warranty would replace it and that was a lie too.”

“I am very disappointed in the quality of this mattress, and the pillows. Quality and durabiltiy I feel has gone way down over the years. I paid for top quality comfort and received the exact opposite. The delivery was even very sketch! A couple who were not even dressed appropriately, in an unmarked vehicle! Scary!”

“Purchased this less than a year ago and I've already had the Ashley furniture store technician come out because it was making a popping sound. We got the adjustable base so that we could enjoy watching TV sitting up, but we hardly use the adjustable settings and one of the welds on the metal part where it comes up is already cracked so if you plan on using it a lot, I would not suggest! The bed itself is very comfortable. We do love it. We definitely would have not gotten the adjustable base had I known That is not very good and it is incredibly expensive! I don't wanna pay hundreds of dollars for bedsheets that stay on. Every single sheet that we have purchased comes off all the time even the lady from the warranty told me she has the same issue! I wish there was a cheaper alternative to the sheets that actually stay on this bed, especially when using the adjustable base.”

“Loved then broke in 3 months, lower motor clunks and thumps funny. "2 year No Hassle" actually means Ergo only fixes once-you pay any repair techs after that. Neither will return it. NOT NO HASSLE”

“We purchased the medium support as that the demo module felt the best in that firmness.
It was over 8 weeks before it arrived and it's like sleeping on a slab of rocks! Horrible. We both have spinal cord injuries and now they are aggravated worse than ever! We haven't had a decent nights sleep since we got it. I called the salesman and he said there was a learning curve for your body to adjust. We are way past that time frame and for almost 10 thousand dollars we are so very mad!!! They will not refund our money because they said it was still "too soon". We wish we had never gone to their store. It's been painful in many ways now!!”

“The design lends itself to the middle legs bending inwards or outwards leading to long-term durability concerns. When it works, it works well, but I can't recommend it with this issue in mind. You should also be wary of tight fitting sheets restricting the movement of the mattress when using the smart base.”

Comfy but not Durable

“Absolutely love this for comfort- it's so nice to adjust the base to my liking. I'm so sad to say, though, that the base is not very durable. We have had our base for less than two years and have already had to get it entirely replaced- and our replacement has partially broken. It is worth noting that we aren't hard on our bed, and we've taken good care of it, especially knowing that the base is mechanical. We would not have paid the money if we knew that we would have to get the base replaced frequently- and have to put the replacements together ourselves.”

It's so comfortable, it feels as though you're floating. It also has massage features and automatic floor lights. No need to fumble around for light switches when getting up in a darkened room! Luxe Rejuvenate Mattress & Premium Smart Base - King

“So, we purchased our Purple bed after many years owning a Sleep Number bed and I must say I was a bit reluctant to change. However, I have to say that the Purple bed has exceeded my expectations. The first few nights of sleeping on the new Purple bed were not impressive. It was much firmer than our old Sleep Number, so I tossed and turned a bit trying to adjust to the difference. Right around the end of the first week I went to bed and spelt for about 8 hours, and it felt like I was only in bed for 30 minutes. No middle of the night repositioning, no waking up with tingles in my arm, no tossing and turning - just deep restful sleep. It has been blissful for the both of us ever since. We have the adjustable base, so it took a few days to determine what setting worked for both of us. We got rid of the many pillows and settled on 2 each and it is perfect. Even 5-6 hours of sleep leaves me feeling rested and refreshed. No more shoulder pains or lower back pains. Knowing the importance and health benefits of good sleep, my wife and I both agree that it is well worth the cost, and we are so happy with our purchase. The only small issue we've experienced is that the lighting package under the bed that illuminates when you step out of bed at night may not have been installed properly because only her side of the bed lights up. On my side there is no lighting. Other than that, no issues.”

Smart base needs to support and fit the mattress

“I really like having the vibration for both head and feet. I wish the lower half hip to feet had a stronger vibration or as strong as the one for the head. Also, since I bought the ULTIMATE rejuvenate in a queen, it's 260 lbs of mattress ( it's fantastic) but when you raise the bed, the bed slides down and it's only held up by a 19 inch metal bar. They need to elongate the bar and give that mattress ( ALOT) more support at the foot of the bed and a " push back" to its original spot on the smart base. When it's lowered down. The smart base just doesn't do the job it should be doing, the mattress is just too heavy for this base. There's no other option but I love the mattress so I need to recommend this base until another one is constructed to hold the mattress. Better.”
