“The protector has done its job well because my mattress still appears the way it did when I bought it about 3 1/2 years ago. The only difference in smell of the mattress is the new smell is gone but there are no body odors. I have had a few drink spills and the protector obviously handled em. I recommend following the wash care instructions because washing to hot or rough or with rough fabrics may be the cause of the leaks others experience. No need to wash too frequently unless soiled often, right? The original mattress and bedding set are still in good condition which is amazing in my experience. That should be worth the price.”

“We needed a new mattress cover and I liked that this one was waterproof on the sides as well as the top. We have a split king so if something slipped between it is a great preventative measure. They aren't loud or thick. They did get a bit hotter than the cover we had previously”

“I love the fact that it has protection on all sides. We bought our first one years ago and right after we put it on, our dog peed on the bed and it ran along the side but the mattress protector did its job perfectly! It has held up better than our other protector. It is soft, breathable and comfortable enough we don't even use a fitted sheet. It doesn't stain either!”

Big difference from the previous version

“Well, this is one of many many purple products that I own… I am so happy with this product and will probably use Purple beds and bedding for life. Of course this is just a mattress protector, but I already felt that their previous version was very high-quality and very stretchy, which was great for their mattresses. The new waterproof version is even less crinkly, softer, and wraps around the bed even more so it gives a little bit more of a sense of protection that again I was never unhappy with the previous one.”

“Unfortunately this mattress cover was tested the very first night. Everything (purple sheet set and mattress cover) was washed and ready to go the day the mattress was delivered and we were all set for our first night. When I woke up the next morning I thought everything had gone great but then realized my period had come in the night. I'll spare the details, but the mattress was untouched and everything washed out perfectly. I put the bed back together and we've had nothing but great nights of sleep since.”

“I wanted a mattress protector that would protect my new Purple mattress without impeding the cooling properties and airflow. I really liked the prior protector/pad I owned, but when the Purple was delivered, I found it to be too thick. This one is perfect in that it seems to sleep cool, fits around the mattress quite well and stays in place, and is quiet. It does not make any sound when I move like some others protectors that make a rustling or plastic sound. It makes sense the Purple sells the perfect protector for their mattress, and I highly recommend this product.”

“I used this mattress protector for about a week and it caused me to have intense side pain on my shoulder and hip. I am a side sleeper and I lost much sleep over this mattress protector. It claims it does not change the feel of your mattress because it is stretchy, but that is far from the case. I do not intend on purchasing from Purple again in the future due to their terrible return policies. They need to get with the times.”
