mattress doesn't protect against spill

“Just went to Ashley store, I noticed that my mattress protector is not doing letting liquids pass thru, I let them know about it since I purchased thru them along w/ a new sealy mattress. they said that i should file a claim w/ sealy which does not make any sense since they sold it to me, in that case they should file it in behalf of the customer and the protector is from bedgear I protect not from sealy. the customer rep was not helpful at all, they only help when you are there buying and give you promise and warranty false information. now i have to file a claim thru sealy for my mattress which was bought thru them, they don't take care of their customer so take this into consideration on your next purchase.”

“I didn’t buy it for water proof qualities but for stain protection so my mind wasn’t attuned to it being water proof. It is also so thin and relatively normal looking that it doesn’t seem likely. My kid had several accidents off and on without any smells on my mattress for months without my questioning why. I stopped using it for a few weeks and then it began to smell and stain the mattress. As I searched online for a water proof mattress protector I remembered that I hadn’t used the one I got with the mattress in a long while and that I never had any smells while I used it. I brought it out from the closet, laid it out on the mattress and poured half a glass of water on it, waited a bit and took it off. My mattress was totally dry. This thin innocuous item of fabric had been protecting my mattress from my kid’s accidents all along. Returned to buy more but store closed due to the pandemic. Came online to see if I could order them and saw a review that stated that the reviewer hadn’t tested it but it seemed too thin to believe. So I decided to post a review. Thin, yes. Comfortable, yes. Waterproof, double yes. Unfortunately I couldn’t see an option to attach a pic.”
