“Start with the table laying flat, top down. Locate the legs and screw the threaded rods into the sockets. No need to overdo it. Finger tight is enough. Position the legs at the table corners. Place washers, lock washers and nuts on ends of threaded rods - do not tighten. Now fit the other elements to the frame. The blind screws are ***frustrating***, The long horizontal may appear short - push the legs together. THEN tighten all connections. It looks good once in place.”

Pretty Farmhouse Desk

“I ordered 2 of these desks to be placed facing each other to make one large work space for multiple users. The boxes came ripped up but the pieces inside were damage free. Installation was minimally complicated because the legs were not marked correctly, but we were able to figure out the error in labeling. Both desks took approximately an hour to assemble from start to finish. The desks are quite beautiful. Drawers are small and don’t fit much. Drawers also do not move smoothly which is a bit disappointing. The top of each desk has inlays which are not manufactured flush so the surface is not perfectly flat making it difficult to write on without some sort of desk protector laid on top. Overall, I rate them a 4 out of 5 because of the poor labeling, drawer functionality, and the not so flush inlays on the surface. They are very pretty in appearance and since they were not priced as high as other desks I’ve seen, I would recommend them if you don’t mind all of the negative aspects”

I Like It - but be ready to spend some time assembling

“Now that it's assembled, the desk looks nice and seems pretty sturdy. It's exactly as pictured/described and we are happy with it. I'm very good with tools, building, woodworking, etc., so assembly usually isn't a problem for me. However, the parts (legs) were mis-labeled (had wrong stickers on them), the wood screws were not large enough (had to use my own better screws), and the real kicker was that the holes were not drilled on one corner. Three corners had holes for the table leg bolts to go through, but the fourth corner had none. I had to determine the exact location and angle, then drill the holes myself. Also, there are some mortise and tenon type joints that are just held together with wood screws and no glue. I anticipate needing to go back and re-secure these joints with glue at some point due to the screws loosening. In hindsight, I should've just gone ahead and done that to begin with. Overall, a nice desk - but assembly didn't go as smoothly as I'd have liked.”

I would have given it 5 stars, however, one of the supporting legs was hard to assemble as the adjoining hole and screw to another piece of the table was not aligned. I was so disappointed as this happened to the very end of my assembly. Very frustrating. 😞”

But you do need to attach the correct one carefully as they are all labeled one way “B” and “C” but on instructions they are all labeled the same. It came damaged so I called Ashley and they sent a replacement right away. It arrived within 2 days. That one was not damaged. I do not blame Ashley for the miss handling of 3rd parties.”

“It is a beautiful, sturdy desk for a small home office. It is big enough to hold a two-duel monitor, desktop scanner, desktop phone, and label printer. I wish it had two drawer file cabinets and a drawer cart that could slide under the desk. There is nowhere to put your files. The two pen drawers on the desk are perfect and made of sturdy wood. The light color stain on the wood makes the room seem lighter and bigger. My only complaint so far is my legs have a hard time fitting under the desk, and there is a brace across where your feet go that you feel inclined to rest your feet on, but it doesn't seem too sturdy, and with too much pressure you can surely snap it into two. It is super annoying that the set does not ship altogether. I'm still waiting on the shelf and printer stand months later .”

“I have never experienced such poor customer service. The desk arrived broken. A replacement was sent, and I was told I would be contacted to arrange a pickup of the damaged item. When no one contacted me, I reached out myself and was told that no one would be picking up the very large, heavy, broken desk and that I would have to somehow dispose of it myself. The representative was very rude, continuously interrupting me, and using a mocking tone. When I asked to speak to a supervisor, she told me she was the supervisor. I’ve never been treated so poorly by a customer service representative. This company obviously doesn’t stand behind their product or support their customers. The quality of the desk is okay, not worth all the trouble I went through and the assembly was difficult. I would absolutely not recommend buying from this company.”
