Nightmare to assemble

“I am woman! But I have assembled many large pieces of furniture all on my own. Ashley furniture shame on you for assuming the average person can put this piece together. This requires professional installation. The screws in the corners are nearly impossible to get in! I have blisters on my hands and caused damage to parts of this bookcase. Not worth the headache on this. Pay for the assembly. This was a nightmare.”

“The bookshelf is a 5. The directions to put it together are a 1. Whoever writes the instructions needs lessons in English or look at how Lego and IKEA used their pictures as directions. We took 2 hours to build 1 shelf and had to use our drill and hammer to make better pilot holes for places.”

“Do not purchase. Absolute junk. The instructions are terrible. Stopped after 3 hours and took apart first two steps and returned to the store. The parts list did not match the assembly instructions. Holes were in wrong place. Pegs were too small for designed holes. Then another part asked to put big fat screws in pin hole with the Allen wrench tool provided. They may have looked nice if ever completed but I would need to go back to school get an engineering degree and learn Vietnamese”

“The look is beautiful and superb in my office space, but the instructions were horrendous!!! We had to drill holes that weren't provided for the two cross bars to attach and the allen wrench provided was inadequate at best. Definitely a two-person job, the screws for the shelving were so hard to turn that it took several hours to complete because you have to have hulk hands to finish the job.”
