“The shelf itself is very nice and I would probably have given it 5 stars except for the packaging. It came in a tremendous amount of Styrofoam that is not recyclable. We ordered something else from a different company and they packaged their furniture with corrugated cardboard.”

“My overall thoughts are that this was a good purchase and I am happy with the product.
On the good side, the quality is better than what I thought it would be. Also the packing of the product was well done with clearly labeled parts for assembly.
On the negative side was that some of the connecting screws were positioned in an awkward location that made it hard to insert and tighten properly, particularly the shelving screws.”

“I love it! It’s exactly what I wanted. I put it together by myself. Easy. It initially arrived with the top piece and one side piece busted. But, Ashley had me replacement parts in less than a week! It was transported across the United States from the state of Washington to Alabama. I have always loved how Ashley stands by their products. I love Ashley Furniture!! I would highly recommend the Baldridge Bookcase and Ashley Furniture!!”

“Ashley literally just shipped this bookcase out yesterday and I wont receive it until next week, but for some reason saw fit to request a review for it. Maybe try giving enough time for me to even receive it let alone build it and test it out before asking for feedback. This is ridiculous SMH.
Hopefully it turns out to be be good, but this annoying pressure for constant immediate feedback has jjumped the shark here.”

“The item arrived damaged (part C, the top). A replacement part was sent. All of the hardware tools are mislabeled on the hardware set compared to the instructions. And, part G, the upper shelf of the lower half is 1/8" wider than part H, which makes getting the left side of the bookcase attached (part A) nearly impossible. Cheaply made. I would have been better off getting IKEA. Would NOT recommend and will not purchase assembly-required furniture again, at least not from Ashley.”

“I ordered 2 of these and both were damaged on multiple areas. Damage was from manufacturing, not shipping. I usually love putting furniture together, but the construction was very awkward and the pieces did not go together well. Would not recommend. I ordered a printer cart of this same.line and it was damaged too. Sad because I have ordered multiple items from Ashley in the past and loved all of them.”
