Beautiful Desk But With Quality Control Problems

“I anxiously waited for this desk to arrive. When I opened the box (extremely heavy) I discovered that there was a dent in the top where something had smashed against the box. The handle for the center drawer was also bent in as a result of the impact. I also found that the drawer on the far right side handle that had not been screwed into place. It was just sitting on top of the drawer loose. Additionally, there was a second handle in this drawer just loose and lying around. Strange!
Ashley's customer service is top notch and they offered to send me out a replacement desk at no additional charge and I was to donate this to a charity. When the replacement desk arrived, it had defects worse than the damaged one. I elected to keep the original desk and will dispose of this new one. The desk itself, aside from the quality control problems, is beautiful.”

Arrived Damaged, Twice

“The desk is very nice and large. However, both the original and replacement desks arrived damaged. Ashley refunded the order, but I had to then donate two damaged desks. I do not plan on shopping at Ashley again and hope they start packaging their items better.”

“FedEx delivery sucks! They delivered to the wrong address so I had to haul over to my place by myself. Stop using FedEx for delivery! There are some noticeable imperfections on the desktop and one leg. Luckily, these are on the underneath of the desk so you won't see them- but at just over $400, I would expect no damages. Overall, a nice desk that will suit my needs.”

“The desk itself is really nice and solid. Drawers stick but function. What is horrible is that they sent three damaged desks! They told us to discard them! These are 100 pound desks, and the packing material fills up two large bins. It was highly inconvenient. I will never shop at Ashley again. I should’ve listened to the other reviews who Got damaged items from other companies that sell this desk.”

“I absolutely love this desk. Beautiful and well made. Great size for my desktop and a laptop. Could also fit two screens. I also like that the draws are pretty deep so you can tuck plenty of items away. My only issue is most likely with shipping. As you'll see from the pics the side of my desk was most likely hit or dropped. This desk is very heavy and did not see the damage until it was on my 3rd floor. Despite that, it's still a great desk.”
