“I decided to try this storage cabinet because it was made in Denmark. Cabinet arrived quickly. It wasn't packed well enough to prevent slight damage to corners and sides. This being press board and Formica, it's difficult to repair. The damage wasn't enough to worry with attempting to repack and return it, so we will have to live with it. I'm an experienced assembler, so I wasn't intimidated by the task at hand. If you're not experienced with these types of wordless assembly manuals and happen to have a kid who's into Legos, this is a great time to recruit them. Unfortunately, the drawer sides and backs were all incorrectly numbered, or had no numbers that associated with the instruction manual. Once I closely looked at the drawings and pieces, I used a pencil to write the number on each piece to ease confusion later. The screws and fastening pieces bag was intact, and I sorted and counted them, finding extra quantities of many of the parts, which was reassuring in case something got lost or damaged during assembly. Assembly time was 2:15 and that's in one sitting with no breaks. Put together, this is a handsome piece. Considering it's held together by wooden dowels and some plastic auger-type jam screws, I'm interested in how long it will hold together. That part of it was to be expected. My biggest complaint is that not only are the bottoms of the drawers too flimsy, but they do not fit all the way around the slots designed to hold them in place. Therefore, the drawer bottoms are going to fall through with any weight at all, so I am going to have to make new drawer bottoms. While $100 isn't that bad for a decent looking storage drawer box, after the assembly time and drawer bottoms replacement time and materials, I feel I would have been better off going to an antique store and buying a solid wooden piece. I don't expect this one will last more than a couple of years with regular use.”
