Not what I thought

“It’s not what I pictured and the legs are much more metal looking than the picture as well. I’m currently trying to get a return label for this item however it’s taken me 3 attempts. Super disappointed in this item as my whole house is furnished by Ashley. I took a chance purchasing online and should have just went to the store to see Janet (Pottstown location) she’s always so helpful.”

“Durable and spacious for the price. Wood grain quality is very nice compared to a lot of desks that I have seen at this price point.
I left the middle shelf off when I assembled it so I could fit a computer tower - it looks and works perfect. Definitely a nice option for anyone looking for a more natural or 'organic' looking desk that will accommodate a PC tower, without resorting to the laminate/particle board options that are so often found when looking for office/PC furniture.”

“We bought this for our son who recently started high school and needed a desk. The desk itself pretty much looks like the pictures and is of good quality and fairly sturdy so seems like it’ll last a long time. What clinched this desk over many others (along with its simple yet attractive design) is that it’s a bit deeper than most economically-priced desks, which adds more useful work space but, most importantly, also allows his gaming monitor to be in a more optimal position, ehem. For the price this desk goes for at Ashley we view it as a very good value.
So, why only four stars? Although the desk for the most part was quick and easy to put together with decent instructions, the wood portions of the desk that comprise the top and two shelves have no pre-drilled holes or even markings where to put the screws to line up with the holes in the frame. I’ve never seen such an egregious oversight and it made assembly much more difficult and time consuming than necessary.”

“Quality is what one should expect given the price. The desk looks good, but I have no idea how it will wear. Veneered over pressboard is not the ideal material to use, but it is a cost conscious choice.
My advice to a potential buyer is to take care in the assembly process. Due to the construction method of the frame, there are no guide holes in the three attached surfaces (top and two shelves). To get the top and shelves centered requires patience and (ideally) a pair of wood clamps to hold everything in place while securing the shelves to the frame with the provided screws.”

“Great piece of furniture. I needed a long work table...I purchased two of these and pushed them together side by side with the shelves on opposite ends. Like that the corners are squared enough to do this and the desk can be turned in either direction. Also, the photos make the wood look more orange/honey than it is in person. The color is more neutral brown than the photos, which I'm very happy about.”
