“I had to purchase this item online. I only bought the smaller piece to be sure the color looked good in my bedroom. I opened the box and immediately saw that the color would not look good with my wood moldings and doors. I called customer service who told me that I could not return it to the store and that I was responsible for the cost to return the item which is at least $60. I looked back at the website and it said that there MAY be a charge to return. I would like to know under what circumstances there is no charge. Any other merchandise that I have purchased online, I have been able to return to the store. In this case, I would have rather seen it in person, but that was not an option. I have purchased furniture from Ashley in the past and more recently both my boyfriend and I bought identical couches. I am beyond disappointed in the vagueness of the return policy and that I could not return it in person.”

“Stupid 72 hour return policy. Matching headboard was cracked. Color doesn’t match. Didn’t open in 72 hours as it was ordered in the middle of the week and I have other things to do than open and assemble furniture mid week. Two end tables and headboard ordered. I don’t want any of it and I can’t return it. $360 wasted. Customer service useless. I will never order anything Ashley again.”

“I only received one night stand. I was contacted by Ashley furniture that one was damaged in transit. Did I want another a replacement or cancel the order. I asked for it to be replaced. And still have not received the 2nd night stand. And do not see anything information on the replacement night stand. I have needed these in a timely manner. And it has been a hassle. Not to mention you use Fed Ex for delivery service which is known to loose parcel all the time. I do t recommend Ashley Furniture at all.”

“The package arrived with a broken piece and a badly damaged top. Ashley sent two new pieces without much hassle on my part. However I had to wait 2 weeks before I could build the dresser as the pieces were main parts. Once built, the drawers rub along the side edge and will eventually lead to scratch marks. Additionally the drawers are all crooked. I have the side tables and 5 drawer dresser and none of them have I had this problem. This 6 drawer dresser is by FAR the worst designed. It is like the pre-drilled holes and drawer hardware are all off/mismeasured.”
