About what I expected for $200

“Particle board. One slat was split and wharped. This had happened before lamination, so clearly a defect that wasn’t caught. Long side panels were also bowed outward, so it made screwing slats on both sides impossible. Even if side panels weren’t bowed, the slats are just a bit too narrow to drill in stably. They also aren’t long enough to fully cover the length of the bed adequately; ideally there should have been 1-2 more slats to ensure the mattress doesn’t sag at the front and back.
Ultimately, bed is worth the $200 I paid (cheap quality but cheap price) and will be okay for occasional guest use. I would not buy again. (Based on reviews, I was hoping to be pleasantly surprised. Instead, I was underwhelmed….and I will probably be looking for a nicer frame long term.)”

“I assembled this myself, took 3 hours. Appearance is 10/10. Quality is only slightly worrying. The metal rods that support the mattress and also the canvas that they slide into do not reach to the very edges or the corners on the inside so it is definitely not as stable as it could be. I am 150lbs and it supports me just fine and isn’t noisy. My friend who’s over 200lbs tried getting in/out of it and it sounded like it was about to collapse. For a small or light person it’s fantastic, but would not recommend buying it if you’re not.”

Then I had to run to Home Depot to get the Phillips screwdriver to complete the flatbed part!
I have a ghost cloud mattress for it so I’m good now! I don’t know about the weight restrictions

“Bed came in two box (one for the platform and one for the headboard) and two separate shipments which arrived at different times. Both packages were rumpled and the the bed had some scratches on both materials. For the platform it was all internal, the one on the headboard is visible but very small. The bed looks good in the room, but only time will tell if it is sturdy enough as a guest bed. Price is ok for the item”

“I would have rated it better but unfortunately I never received the items I bought. I t was kind of a fiasco right from the start when I first checked on my order to get a tracking number. Ashley said they didn't have the order number in their system to correspond with the one I received when I ordered online and paid via PayPal. I have been dealing with Ashley customer service for nearly two weeks now to rectify the situation and they have been very helpful. The items finally shipped from the warehouse but somewhere along the way FedEx lost the shipment and can't find it in their system. Hopefully we get some resolution, if not I'm out about 600.00.”

“It has a vinyl sheet that holds the wooden planks under the mattress together. Everytime I move on the mattress, I hear the vinyl adjusting. I suppose you could just not put the vinyl on the wooden planks since they are screwed into the frame anyway. But overall it is good quality and I got the headboard with it. The wood is good quality.”
