Surprised everyone else seems satisfied!

“Hate it. The footboard (of course the side that you can see) came with a piece of shipping tape on it, peeled it off gently and the paint came with it. Assembly was a nightmare. The directions made no sense; but once I realized that steps 4-7 were the exact same steps as 1-3, I was able to move on. Literally exactly the same steps! That part was ok, but it was screwing the support beams onto the frame that made me want to throw it across the room - there are no pilot holes, and the wood piece you screw them into is just multiple thin pieces of wood glued together. The wood kept splitting and the screws were getting stripped trying to get them in! I had to stop and go buy a drill so I could make some pilot holes. That helped a lot. I would rather saw this bed into pieces and throw it away than every disassemble/reassemble it again.
All that just to find out its not REALLY twin sized, the twin mattress I also ordered from Ashley is larger than the frame! What the heck!!!!!!!! For as much as it costs, its not great at all. I got my son’s loft bed on Amazon for half the price, the assembly was much easier and everything worked out. If I didn’t have to take this apart to return it, I would!!! I wish they would compensate me some.”
