“I love the nightstand! Unfortunately the hole in the drawer was too big and couldn’t tighten so if you’re not careful it will pull all the way out. Other than that I love it! Great material looks expensive.”

“Looks great, but not the best quality. Directions were difficult. The drawer box was assembled upside down (I followed the instructions) and I had to remove the cardboard backing to fix that issue which damaged the back when trying to take out the nails. Make cardboard your last step! It works for my space and was in my budget.”

“I like it but the drawer sits crooked and the legs are uneven causing a rocking back and forth. We have installed it correctly. Took it apart and back together multiple times to ensure it was all done correctly and the drawer still sits crooked and the legs are still uneven. Very unhappy with this.”

Extremely Disappointed – Misleading Return Policy and Poor Customer Service

“I am extremely disappointed with my recent experience with Ashley Furniture. I purchased two nightstands and, due to a change of plans, needed to return them. The items are still in their original, unopened packages.
When I called the company to ask about returning them, I was told I could not because I was outside of a 3-day window—even though their website clearly states that returns are allowed within 30 days, and I am well within that time frame (Delivered July 10th) After the representative spoke with her manager, she told me the return could be “approved,” but only if I paid for shipping. When I looked into shipping, it was going to cost $165, which is more than the cost of the nightstands themselves.
I also attempted to return them directly to the store, but was told by the employees that was not allowed, because they were bought online.
This policy feels deceptive and completely unfair. If you advertise a 30-day return window, customers should not be penalized with outrageous shipping fees that make returning an item pointless.
I will not be shopping with Ashley Furniture again and urge others to be extremely cautious before making a purchase. The lack of transparency and poor customer service were shocking for a company of this size.”
