Horrible Off-Gassing and Ashley of No Help

“We love the look of these and purchased two for our new home because cabinet storage and pantry space is limited. Planned to put food in one and china and cookbooks in the other. The fumes from these gave us headaches and there was no way we could put anything food-related into them. Ashley was of no assistance (even when one arrived damaged) other than to tell us to wipe them down multiple times a day with a mixture of vinegar & water. Well, we've done that for 3 months, along with putting them on the screened porch to air and placing charcoal and baking soda inside them. They are a bit better (or we've gotten used to them) but are still empty and unusable. We've given up getting help from Ashley and are going to move one to the patio for outdoor items (and toss it once the weather has had its fun with it) and get rid of the other one in a garage sale. Wasted a lot of time and money here. But we did learn something: we will never purchase anything from Ashley again...nor will our family and friends who have heard of the lack of customer service.”

Awful odor of entire piece.

“Overall look is very nice. However the whole unit has a very strong odor of some sort of gas. Especially in the drawers and cabinets. Has not subsided in the three weeks that it has been in my home. Ashley says they will replace it but I am afraid the replacement will also smell. They refuse to refund my money. Very disappointed.”
