Disappointing & Uncomfortable

“I've been looking for new counter-height chairs for over a year. I wanted a padded back and padded seat and wanted just a straightforward style so I thought these would be perfect. We got them quite quickly but when we put one together, we were quite disappointed. As others have said, the alignment of holes caused a bit of a challenge putting it together, but other than that it was pretty straightforward. When we finished putting it together, it was rather cheap-looking. The back is actually lower than it looks so it looked like a little "baby chair" next to our counter-height table & island. Also, when you sit in it, the back is a bit too erect to be comfortable and as others have said, your butt sinks down into the seat cushion. After putting it together, it's clear why that happens as there is absolutely no support for the seat cushion except the outer rim it sits on so the middle just sinks down. I called within 1 week to return the chairs (we had ordered 6 but only put one together) and Ashley told me after 72 hours, there was no return. I referred them to their returns page which says online orders are returnable within 30 days. The agent insisted it was 72 hours but after a bit of back and forth, he put me on a hold and told me someone would get back to me in 3-5 business days to schedule the return. i am now waiting to do the return.”

“The chair looks nice but the seat is sunken, never have I sat in a chair like this where I sink below the rim of the outer edges of the seat. It is like you are framed in.
I will be tossing it into a dumpster because it is non-returnable.”
