“Out of 6 chairs, 3 had defects. The dowel had broken off of one, a corner bracket was cracked on another, and there was a small tear in the vinyl on the third. I attached the seat without the dowel and it seems sturdy enough. I glued the corner bracket before tightening screws. And I both glued and taped the tear in the vinyl. All chairs look good and seem sturdy enough now but I fear for the longevity and if they will hold up in the future.”

“The chairs were very poor quality so I returned them. There were a couple manufacturer defects in how the seat cushion was attached to the frame on both chairs in the box. Also, the wood on the underside of the chairs was incredibly rough and would have needed to be sanded down to prevent serious splinters - especially dangerous for little kids. Lastly, the plastic seat material smelled terrible and the odor would not dissipate - it even lingered in the room for hours after the chairs were moved elsewhere.”

As time went buy I decided that I wanted the chairs that went with the table so I went on line and discovered that I could buy them at a more reasonable price than buying (and having them ordered) locally. “Good looking and heavy chairs but: dents too easily and they do not slide well on wood floor - you must purchase feet socks to be able to move and without scratching floor. Seriously, Why wouldn't the manufacture add silicone feet glides to allow chair movement? Also, difficult to dust back of seat area.”

“I really like the appearance of the chair, they had good quality control, the chairs are sturdy and not uncomfortable. I learned the secret to making sure they do not wobble when assembled. Sit down hard on the chair and then tighten the bolts all the way. The chair is very easy to assemble. I did think the cushion was too stiff at first and the back too hard against my spine. Now I think they feel comfortable. I'm not sure if they are breaking in or I adjusted to the chair.”

Ashley had a Memorial Day discount of $25.00 on purchases over $100.00. We were denied this discount. Ashley representative said the chairs were on sale for $200.00 from $300.00.
NO WHERE ON THE SITE WAS A MENTION OF $300.00 NOR BEING ON SALE!
