The assembly was super smooth (no help needed from my hubby) compared to other furniture I've purchased over the years with misaligned pre-drilled holes or wobbly construction. None of that here, just great quality at a great price (half of what I paid for my previous set). The color is off-white with just a slightly distressed finish. “I first bought the round version 3 years ago with 4 chairs and I loved it! But needed a larger table so recently ordered this rectangle with 2 extra chairs, the quality is NOT the same!! Legs are chunked and painted over, smell was horrid for weeks like spray paint and it does not match the other 4 chairs. The wood was so shiny and pretty on my round one and not this one! One chair seat is bubbling up and looks bad. Well come to find out the original was made in China and now they are made in Vietnam and the comparison for quality isn’t at all the same! I am soooo disappointed and wish I had not sold my round table :(”

Solid Table

“I bought this a while back but put off putting it together because I was waiting for Christmas to be over and was waiting on my new living room set to come in. I didn't really care for the fact that I had to put it together but then again, it wasn't hard, just didn't feel like spending the time to do it. What I really did like when putting it together was the fact that the screws go into metal, not the wood and the screws have blue locktite on them, so they should never get loose and burrow out the hole like most cheaper furniture do. I gave it a four star rating due to the fact that the set was not delivered already set up and it's smaller than I had hoped. The size is my fault though, I should have looked at the measurements and then figured out what how it would look in my dining room. Then again, it's not like we use our dining room tables all that often anyway, so it is not a big deal. We have 6 people in the house, so I should have got something a little larger. It's all good though.”

“I would not recommend purchasing this table for this amount of money- since I bought it about a month ago, the dark top of the table and 2 chairs have warped and somehow had bubbles created between layers. There were a few scratches upon delivery that I didn't worry too much about, but just in the month we have had it it looks like a much older table. Scratches and marks are easily made on the top, and I regret spending so much on this set. The colors are lovely, but it just doesn't hold up well at all.”

“One caveat, first: The huge staples under the tabletop that were holding the straps which encased the cardboard box containing the table legs were a pain to remove. Some broke off and left a metal nib. I'm going to have to file them off, or cover them with sturdy tape. Otherwise, I REALLY LIKE THIS TABLE! I'm using it as a desk in my office.”
