“We’ve had these stools for about 8 years. We use them daily. They are just as sturdy as the day we brought them home. There is some wear and tear where we rest our feet, but that’s to be expected. You can’t tell just from looking at them, but they’re also super comfortable. The curve in the seat is perfect for a comfy fit. 👍🏼”

“We absolutely love these bar stools — but we’re now faced with a challenge. That’s why only 3 stars. We have moved, and need 2 more. But our original pair — which we’ve had for a year — have darkened. The seats that started medium brown are now dark brown. I can’t imagine that if we’d order, we’d get a pair that matched the originals as they now look. We hadn’t really noticed the darkening, it happened so slowly. Only when I came back to the site did I realize how much the color of the seat had changed. I’m not about to order 4 new stools to ensure a match. If you’re absolutely sure you only need a pair, I would without hesitation give them 5 stars, even though they’ve darkened. They are sturdy, the seat is surprisingly comfortable for being solid wood, and they have stood up to daily use beautifully over the last year.”

Just the look of the Glosco Counter Height Bar Stool is a statement of STURDY... they are as heavy as they look!! I liked the shape of the seat, because (duh) it looked like it would support my entire backside. LOVED the two-tone brown stool as it POPS nicely with my home decor. I needed them to be sturdy, because there's always that one person willing to test them out till it breaks. SERIOUSLY, it was soooo easy to put them together... less than 20-mins for each by myself!! JUST BE SURE, you follow the instructions to add the two horizontal bars BEFORE tightening down the second leg. Originally, I wanted three stools, but glad I purchased two-sets. TRUST ME, they are comfortable!! In case you're wondering, my counter dims are: 34-1/4" H x 87-1/8 L x 11-3/4" D
The only downside - I wish Glosco would add either aluminum or plastic covers to the horizontal bars, so the wood doesn't get scratched up. Also, felt pads (!!), so they don't scratch up the floors as guests drag them around.”

“I got these stools and they fit beautifully at my counter height island. They are sturdy, well made and great colors. The only thing I dont like is the top. They have hash like lines covering the surface and I didn't see that in any of the pictures. This would've been a deal breaker had I have seen this prior to buying. Otherwise I love them!”

Perfect counter height stool!

We had swivel stools that were driving us crazy before these...Our 6 kids were constantly falling out of them, spinning in circles making screws loose and they were always knocking them over. We bought 6 of the Glosco counter height bar stools to solve that problem. They are so sturdy! We haven't had one child fall off or knock the stool over yet. Best part is they don't spin...yay!!! They are built very well and are absolutely gorgeous. We have already had many compliments on them. You won't be disappointed if you buy them. They are also very easy to put together.”
