“The stool, not the quality I expected. The stools had scuff marks from packing and or shipping, three of the four legs on each stool fit in the slots as they were designed, however one leg on each stool did not even come close to fitting. I spent 2.5 hrs. removing small amounts of material from the legs in order to make them fit in the slots as shown on the instructions. They also did not come with any floor protectors/ carpet slides on the bottom of the stool legs. Would not recommend this stool, and will probably not make any future purchase from Ashley. I will be surprised if I receive any response or consideration for all of the trouble I had with this product.”

“We purchased 5 of these and we love how they look in the kitchen and are exactly what we were looking for plus they seem to be decent quality too. My one gripe is the legs don't have a level adjust on the bottom which normally wouldn't be a big deal but so far after assembling 3 of the 5 I have 1 of them that is terribly wobbly, a 2nd has a very minimal wobble and the 3rd is perfect. I think I'll look for some leveling feet and if that doesn't work I'll glue a small shim in the middle of the bottom of a leg.”

“I bought a set of four of these stools for my kitchen’s breakfast bar a year ago. Assembling them from the delivery boxes was rather arduous. We had to avoid fully tightening the hex screws as we fastened each wooden leg to the lower metal support hoop; instead, we needed to leave enough play in each screw to attach the hoop all around, then gradually tighten each of the four screws to secure the legs. Once assembled, the stools proved quite solid, well balanced and comfortable. The cushioned seat provides just enough support, and the swivel stool-tops ease communication among the folks seated at our bar. The natural wood finish, chocolate-brown upholstery and black metal seat-backs all blend nicely with the colors of our kitchen. After one year of frequent use, I had to re-tighten the hex screws to prevent wobbling.”

“I bought these 9 months ago, and within a few months, one has stopped swiveling, another's seat and backrest portion comes completely off if pulled, and the third, the lower bar's screws constantly fall out. I LOVED these at first, but we use them daily, and that may be a reason they fell apart, though it seems they should've lasted much longer. My husband is about 215 lbs, and 6'4" and I am not large (140lbs) and we have two small children. Honestly, I regret purchasing these due to the diminishing quality so soon after purchase. They look wonderful, but they are not worth the price. I wish I would have just gone with stationary (non swivel) stools if I knew these fell apart so quickly.”

“These were perfect for our new kitchen renovation, both style and comfort. Very sturdy, really like the foot rail on the outside of the legs, more practical and comfortable. The back seems perfectly aligned and works well for long sitting periods. Color is exactly as pictured on website. Swivel seemed a bit stiff at first, but is fine after a few uses. Do not buy these at brick and mortar store, they cost twice as much and the ones we sampled were not properly put together, almost broke apart when we tried them out. When I received these and put them together correctly they are very sturdy.”

“My husband and I are happy we bought these stools last summer despite our hesitation to purchase after reading the first few reviews. We wanted the look but were wary of the issues mentioned. Sure enough, one barstool came with a defective swivel - Ashley sent us a replacement which also would not swivel and one had a slit between the tacks. In the meantime, we went back and purchased the protection plan. Finally, we got a good replacement and have had no problems since - customer service was wonderful. The look of these stools is perfect in our kitchen, and we are very pleased with them.”

“I purchased these counter height barstools to add a rustic look to my lake-house kitchen, and they fit the bill perfectly. Have received many compliments! The padded seats are comfortable and the chairs remain sturdy after a month of use. I love that you can rest your feet on the metal bar( no scratching up the wood). Each of the 4 stools were packaged well, and arrived in good condition with all parts needed. You definitely need to follow the directions and assemble each stool with TWO people, though. We did not, made a mistake and had to call for another set of screws, which customer service was happy to send us. Also, tighten each screw a little at a time, work your way around and then go back to the first one. No complaints here, and I would purchase again. Can't beat the price, either.”

“Quality/coloring of these stools are absolutely nothing like the pictures or web description. Extremely disappointed in Ashley (Vietnam?!) Furniture. What they project to look like rustic wood is actually very cheap looking plastic back and legs. "Wood grain" is some sort of imbedded white plastic into light brown plastic. And when I called to find a location I could return the stools to, I was informed I must SHIP them to orignal warehouse & incur all costs. If I wait more than 72 hours, returns won't be possible.”
