“We were so excited for this table. Received it and the "veneer," a thin wood textured paper was already peeling off the side. Did one game night and a box left a giant scratch across the surface. Wood doesn't scratch like that. I thought this table would last. A waste of money that Ashley's horrible customer service and return policy will not allow us to get back.”

“My review on the item will have to wait, the fact that it is damaged, still in the box where the deliverymen put it 10 days after it was delivered, is bothersome to me. I have people coming over in just over a week and I was hoping to have someplace for them to be seated for a home cooked meal. I understand that “these things happen” but think that the issue could have been resolved in a more timely fashion. Fingers crossed that will not have to eat our rib roast on TV trays next weekend”

Subject: Follow-up on Warranty Claim — No Response Yet
Hello [Warranty Department / Customer Service Team],
I submitted a warranty claim on Monday, November 24, via your website, and your warranty page clearly states that you “allow one business day for us to complete the review.” It is now almost a full week later (Monday, December 1), and I have still not heard back from you.
I chose your company for a reason — but now I’m left without a table for Thanksgiving, and the delay in response is unacceptable.
Please provide an update on the status of my claim immediately. If you are unable to process the claim promptly, I expect to know when I can realistically expect a resolution.
Formal Complaint – Defective Table Delivery (Order No. D433-35)
Dear Customer Service Lead,
I am writing to lodge a formal complaint regarding the condition of the dining table (Item No. D433-35) delivered to my residence on Saturday, November 22, 2025. Despite the high expectations we had—after three in-person visits to your showroom in Concord, CA, where we carefully inspected the floor model—what was delivered is unacceptable and constitutes a serious breach of quality assurance.
The specific defects are as follows (photographs are attached for your reference):
The laminate surfaces are bubbled around the edges, indicating a significant manufacturing or handling defect.
The edging appears to be cracking, which undermines the structural integrity and aesthetic of the piece.
Where the table separates for the leaf, the joint is uneven and gapped, compromising stability and alignment.
The corner of the tabletop edge is improperly rounded, exhibiting a chip, which is both unsightly and potentially unsafe.
The side panels have inconsistent coloration, suggesting substandard material or finishing.
Frankly, the condition of this table upon arrival reflects a severe lapse in your company’s quality control procedures and is wholly inconsistent with the pristine showroom model we were shown. We selected this particular table precisely because of its appearance and craftsmanship, and what we received falls far below reasonable expectations for a new item.
To resolve this matter, I request the following:
A full replacement of the defective table with a unit that matches the showroom quality; or, if that is not possible,
A full refund of the purchase price;
As you know, this Thursday is Thanksgiving and we have family arriving Tuesday and Wednesday, AND we need this ASAP!
Please respond in writing within 24 hours to indicate how your company intends to proceed. If you do not provide a satisfactory resolution within this timeframe, I will have no choice but to consider further action, including but not limited to filing a complaint with the California Department of Consumer Affairs or pursuing a claim in small claims court.

“We love our new table but we paid over $2000 and the delivery people dented it when they were unloading it from their truck. Then instead of taking responsibility for what happened, someone came out and patched it up. It’s a bit frustrating that you save up to buy a brand new table only for it to be set damaged before you even get to use it.”

“The dining room table is amazing! However, the chairs are very underwhelming. They are uncomfortable (hard as a rock!), sit too high for the table height, and the online order policy of no returns is unacceptable. Do not recommend the chairs if you're looking for comfort despite them being aesthetically appealing. But the table itself is very nice, easy to move around, the hidden leaf is awesome, and it looks great in our dining room.”
