“If you’re considering ordering from Ashley Furniture, let me save you the trouble—don’t. This company is the definition of frustration, with laughable logistics, terrible quality control, and customer service policies that seem designed to make your life miserable.
Here’s our nightmare experience:
We ordered two lamps, two nightstands, and a dresser to be delivered to California. From the very beginning, it was a disaster.
•Shipping Fiasco: One nightstand decided to take the scenic route across America, stopping in New Mexico, New Jersey, and who knows where else, delaying delivery by an extra week.
•Damaged Goods: By the time we received both nightstands, they were riddled with broken parts. Ashley’s brilliant response? They would only replace one because we didn’t report the damage on the second one within 72 hours—never mind that we were still waiting for the enti”

“This is not solid mango wood like we were told. It is laminate wood veneer. The print on this piece is ridiculously wild and doesn’t match other pieces. Drawers malfunction and poor workmanship overall. Cheap hardware.. plastic bearings… probably won’t last long and will need to be replaced.”

“Purchased two nightstands, the three drawer dresser & the six drawer dresser. Some of the drawers are crooked & don’t close. The top of the six dresser drawer is warped. I refused delivery but they left it anyway. Technician came out the following week to fix it. Couldn’t fix the drawers (& def not the warped top) & had to order parts. I asked “how are you going to fix the warped top?” Two weeks go by & I called 800# to find out where the parts are. I was told they’re coming from overseas & it will be sometime in Feb. I insisted they bring me a brand new dresser. The request for that is up for review & I’ll know in 24-48 hours. I regret this purchase immensely!!! Buyers beware!!!!”

“Placed my order online, bought the bed and dresser, order was received. Once the box was off the dresser, the whole bottom of the dresser was completely broken. I placed a call with Ashley, received and received case number on 5/13/25. Was told it would be 72 hours for someone to reach out to me for a solution. We it 5/22 and nobody has reached out to me, I have made 5 calls to the people in India (because there is nobody in the states that can help, even the store cannot help). I guess Ashley furniture wants the whole order back, and I will go through my CC company to find the solution. I'm not a happy camper - THANKS ASHLEY FURNITURE”

“Do not buy. The dressers were infested with Powdepost bugs that ate away at the furniture and left small holes on the top of each dresser. It took 9 months for them to appear. They even got into my floors. I had to throw both dressers out. The issue was reported to Ashley Corporate who is working on this situation for me.”

Powderpost Beetle Infested! Do not buy!!!!

“Bought this set 1 1/2 yrs ago. Powderpost beetle larvae laid dormant and have now infested one dresser. Contacted Ashley and they wouldn’t do anything bc warranty is up. The larvae lay dormant for months or years so you have no idea they are there until the damage begins to show. The beetles infest the wood before it is sealed so Ashley should take responsibility. I’ve now seen several complaints online with this set and Ashley doing nothing about it. I emailed and called and was told I was out of luck bc warranty is up. DO NOT BUY!”

“My dresser came with powder post beetles and Ashley won’t take a return. I bought the whole isanti line so I don’t want a mismatched dresser, but now this dresser costs twice as much as it did a year and a half ago when I bought it. Additionally, as others have mentioned, the drawers don’t close all that well. You kind of get some bounce back from them and almost have to slam them closed. Same goes for the night stands. I would never purchase from Ashley again after having bought furniture with a powder post beetle infestation .”

“I ordered this bedroom set, and within months, there was what appears to be wormwood damage detected (see attached photos as proof). Customer Service was extremely unhelpful and refused to replace this item, even though they did replace my dresser (after repeated pestering on my end). I would not recommend this piece to anyone unless you want to have wood shavings all over your floors/bedding.”

“I just got off the phone with Customer Service again. I bought this whole set and I've had wood shaving piling up on all 3 pieces. I stopped by the store a few weeks after delivery and again a year later and mentioned my concern. They said it was "natural wood" and I should expect shaving. Two years later the shaving piles are still showing up! Customer Service said since I didn't buy the warranty there's nothing they will do for me BUT I can call repair to order new parts. New parts? I'm having the furniture inspected by ORKIN to see if it's terminate infected.”
