“My nightstand arrived damaged with a smashed corner and damaged back panel. I contacted Ashley customer support and submitted a claim, complete with multiple photos. I was told by the representative that I would get a follow up via email within 24-48 hours. So far, it has been 48+ hours since that conversation and today I received this email asking for feedback and a review, but I’m still waiting on the follow up to my claim. I look forward to the chance to follow up with customer service and resolve the issue- hopefully return the nightstand that arrived damaged and receive a replacement…but for now, my experience is 1 star and I hope this message will trigger an appropriate follow up and eventually resolve to a 3-4 star experience.”

I also wish it wasn’t so high. Even with thick mattresses, I have to look up from the bed to see my alarm clock. Be aware this nightstand has 2 drawers, not three. It took me by surprise, but I wanted matching furniture so it’s fine. Besides my personal preferences, the construction is fine. As a result, I give it 4 stars.”

Scratches easily

“I’ve had the entire set for about 4 years now. The look is great but this wood scratches so easily. I used to call to get every scratch fixed. But that for annoying. After realizing how easy it scratches I barely put anything on the furniture that isn’t protected by padding. But it doesn’t matter. A picture frame with the felt underneath somehow managed to make little marks, a coaster, even change from my pocket that I’d place on my nightstand. So there’s tiny scratches all over and it’s very sad. Considering how much this whole set costs you would think the wood wouldn’t mark up so easily.”

Damaged, but....

“I purchased this nightstand to complete my bedroom set. The first nightstand was delivered with no problems. The 2nd one was damaged due to ups, not Ashley. The exchange process was okay. But the replacement nightstand came with black marks on the top and side. Not sure if this identifies a refurbished piece? If it was inspected before it was shipped, they would have clearly seen the marks. It should not have been sent this way. Guess it wasn't inspected. Not up for another exchange. So I'm keeping the marked piece. Last time I'm buying big items from Ashley.”

But wgen we took it out we noted that there was a crack and that the drawers are had ro open. My son noted that they were off track and was able to put the bottem drawer on track. The upper drawers still hard to open.”

“I ordered two side tables for my bedroom. The items came in two separate deliveries. The first one came, and the corner of the table was damaged. the next day the second one came, and the box had a hole in it and through the back of the nightstand. I refused that order from FEDEX. I contacted someone and I was told to donate the nightstand and send a copy to an email. However, I can't find any place to donate it. I have sent numerous emails and have received nothing. I have now received two additional nightstands. One of them is fine and the other has a small nick on the top and A scratch on the front. It has been too much and don't want to return it. I have also had to deal with all these very large boxes and had to pay to have my refuse company to put a sticker on all three of them in order for them to take them. I am 66 years old and can't lug furniture and large boxes around to well.”

“We recently purchased the 29" Rustic Porter 2 Drawer Nightstands (2). These are NOT rustic - not sure why they are called that! They do look very nice in our bedroom, but if you put anything on top, be careful because they scratch! I have 2 nicks on one of them & am not sure where they came from as I am very careful! Also, one of them the 2nd drawer doesn't shut correctly - you shut it & it comes open - so you really have to shut it hard which I don't like to do with my furniture. All in all, they will do. I think we are going to refinish the tops of them so no more scratches or nicks! Thank you!”
