Bed broke

“Bed broke on the 3rd day of minimal use. We are now 3 weeks out and despite constant communication (from our side), the bed is still sitting broken in our room. Very disappointed.”

“Bed is lovely. Experience was not. I am not a complainer. I don’t leave 1 star reviews. But I need to say this.
We ordered our bed set early September. It said 5 weeks, plus a week for delivery. End of September I started getting weekly emails, titled “We haven’t forgotten you!” (in all caps). The bed runners were on back order and delayed. After 3 weeks of getting pushed back I called and asked if there was any update, any real idea of when it would come, or if it was just going to remain in purgatory for an unknown amount of time. I was shuffled from person to person who had no idea what they were talking about. All extremely nice, yet totally incompetent. They didn’t seem convinced it would ever come. I understand delays but a little transparency would have gone a long way.
Finally, our bed was delivered about a month late. That went smoothly. Then we started to assemble it. There hadn’t been a hardware bag, but some of the screws were already in place in the boards, so we weren’t too worried. Until we had the perimeter (headboard, footboard, sideboard) assembled, our bedroom in shambles, and there was no hardware for the slats. So we had an unusable behemoth in our room. I called the next day, and they said oh, we’re so sorry, we’ll ship them to you—in 7-10 business days. I argued that that was unacceptable so they finally agreed to send it overnight shipping. But they didn’t send me the shipping information, and put a required signature, so I missed the delivery. On a Friday. And redelivery wasn’t available until Monday. So I called again and found out that despite saying “Do NOT use other hardware”, I was fine to get my own from the store. So we found the hardware at a store, and finally finished our bed.
I really like the bed. It’s beautiful, not sure how sturdy or long lasting. But the whole experience was a fiasco and I will never order Ashley again. Not worth the hassle.”
