Damaged item and poor response

“This order been very disappointing. I ordered the item and received quickly. Unfortunately, once I unboxed it I saw several areas that were damaged. I chatted with customer service right away and was able to send pictures. They consulted with another department and told me it was not repairable and a replacement would be sent. They couldn’t tell me what I needed to do with the damaged item, but assured me I would receive an email that night or first thing the next morning at the latest. Since then I have checked in the next morning to be told I needed to wait another day. The next day they said I had to give it up to 72 hours from the first report of the damage. So this morning I called and spoke to a live person. He checked and said I needed to give it an ADDITIONAL 3-5 business days and be patient to get a response from the other department. At this point they have charged me and won’t tell be if I need to return the original one. I am very disappointed!”
