“Ashley Furniture should be ashamed to sell this piece of junk masquerading as a dresser. Save your relationship, sanity and money by just not purchasing this item. The instructions are not clear, nor are they comprehensive. You will have several pieces left over (mostly screws) with several holes that are not aligned. The boards on this piece scratch and scuff easily, so if you are somehow able to piece it together, it won't look good for long. There are no redeeming qualities to this item, just don't do it.”

“The instructions skip about 3 steps, which led to a lot of guessing on the buyers part. You will need a drill as not all of the required holes for screws are there on the base and drawer pieces.”

Confusing Instructions, Takes too long to build, but beautiful dresser

“The dresser, once built is very beautiful and matches the rest of our room decor. However, the instructions and images were terrible. It took 5 hours to build this dresser. We had to take out nails and put them back on, because the instructions were so confusing. Some things were labeled wrong. We don’t know which nails we should use, so we just guessed.”

“I recieved my item a couple weeks ago. It was missing critical pieces to put it together. Not to mention many of the pieces being labelled with the wrong identifying numbers. I reached out via chat. The chat bot indicated it would contact a specialist that would contact me in 3-5 business days. The next day I called to speak to a human. They echoed what the chat bot said. 1 week later I still have not responded. I called again. The representative said that the last individual i spoke with did not update my ticket to speak to a specialist. They would have to do this again and I would need to wait 3-5 business days again. I asked if I could get a refund. They said I would need to speak to a specialist. I asked to be transferred. They said it was not possible. I asked to return the merchandise to a physical store. They said this was not possible. They will not resolve my problem, or refund me. They did not provide what I paid for and will not make it right. Do not buy from this company.”

“The dresser looks nice. However, the installation instructions were horrific. My husband has put together many pieces of furniture and this was the most difficult due to pathetic instructions. The QR code on the pamphlet was for a different piece of furniture! I’m pleased with the dresser, but traumatized after having endured 5 hours of my husband verbally abusing the dresser🥹”

“item was shipped and received box 1 of 2.....3 days later box 2 showed up and was damaged. I have been in contact with Ashely every day and keep being told someone will be contacting me in 3-5 days.....I still haven't recevied a call or email. This is very frustrating.”

“Don't buy this dresser. I could not get the drawers to work correctly, ended up paying someone to help and they couldn't do it either. It is cute but that is all its got going for itself. The drawers don't have any room and they don't close flush with the frame. Waste of money”

“This dresser looks nice, but is kind of a nightmare to assemble. It took my wife and I about 3 hours; a cordless drill will be your friend. The contents arrived damaged, it was clearly dropped or something heavy was dropped on it as there are dents on the front edges and many of the drawer faces are scratched. Quality is what you would expect for a $250 dresser; the drawer pulls are plastic. One other manufacturing defect is that the center support leg has a plastic foot with screw that you are supposed to insert so you can level it out, but the hole is a larger diameter than the screw making the support leg useless as it is too short without the foot.”

“The quality of the materials and the assembly instructions just don’t justify the price for this dresser. There are missing holes for structurally important sections, no identifying marking on the several various types screws that need to be selected correctly, the veneer arrived already scratched which doesn’t bode well for its longevity. On to of all of this, the assembly instructions are nearly unusable. I am an educated person with experience building furniture and believe me when I say… I saw the reviews before mine that the instructions were hard to understand and assumed user error. No, they’re straight up wrong in many respects and the QR code links to a 2 min video about a totally different product. Sigh. I can’t recommend enough that you look for a different dresser. Warning to those still convinced, the dresser parts arrive in two boxes a little over 45 pounds each, you will need lots of space available to construct this. You will also absolutely need a power drill to assemble this because hardware holes that should have been placed in manufacturing are missing.”
