Damaged item with horrible customer service

“This was the worst furniture purchase experience I’ve ever had. The item delivered was damaged with a crack at the bottom panel of the drawer and uneven surface of the four drawers. The top drawer couldn’t be closed properly. You have to push very hard to close the drawer. I called the customer service and showed them the pictures of the damage. they said they don’t take back damaged item and agreed to issue a 50% discount. Because I am living in an apartment building, it’s hard for me to take up and down of a big piece of furniture. So I accepted the discount and the damaged furniture. Plus, I have already assembled it and cleaned it. Then the next day, I received an email saying that they can only offer 10% discount. I was so pissed by this kind of inconsistent communication and a penny discount to cover a damaged item. I rejected the offer and was forced to put the damaged product back into the original package, carry downstairs and return the item! Don’t trust Ashley customer serv”
