“This material and overall product works very well. I enjoy that its on a curve but not too steep or not steep enough to make the baby more prone to being uncomfortable. This seems to be the perfect angle and the toys right in front of their face are of perfect positioning as well. The buttons are easy to use and figure out even without an instruction manual and the baby was not discontent for a majority of the time in this chair so the material/products seems to be of high quality as well. The color scheme is very modern in my view too so this makes it even more of a sell.”

“I was recently sent the Cassia swing and after trying it out I have to say it is as beautiful as it is useful. The features are great - it rotates 360 degrees but also has a locking position. The Automatic movement detection makes so much difference, and really helps with soothing. The 5 different speeds allow you to figure out what works for your baby, which is super helpful. But, my favorite part of this swing is just how attractive it is. The colors are subtle and stylish. The fabric and stitching reminding me more of a Herschel bag than a baby accessory. It looks so lovely with your decor, rather than being this giant hunk of colorful plastic. It is stylish and functional, so great for parent and baby. Would recommend”

“First of all I love the design of this swing! Soothing grey&beige colors match our living room very well and look nice. Assembly is very easy and doesn't require any tools. It took me about 5 minutes to put all the parts together. You'll need 4 AA batteries for this swing or it can also be plugged in (which is very handy in case the batteries die). The quality is great! Padded seat looks super comfy and comes with a removable insert for infants. The stand is sturdy and therefore safe for our little baby. Due to compact size and light weight this swing can be easily moved around the house, while 360 degree spin feature allows to change the baby's view as needed. And the best part is my son (3 months old) really loves hanging out in this swing listening to the lullabies it can play. Overall it's an excellent quality product that is worth every penny in my opinion! Highly recommend!”

Sleek and Comforting

He really seems to be enjoying the motion. I do wish there was app support, but overall, I'm very happy with the simplicity of the swing and the comfort for my son.”

“I got this for my daughter before I had her. I wish it had to where I could lower the straps on it. Straps are too high for a newborn baby. This I wouldn't use until my baby is 3 months or older. Wish now I could return it and get my money back to get something different. Like my daughter hates it and it leans her forward too much in it. Even with a car seat support in it. I would not buy this. And all the settings are the same don't move any faster.”

“I'm still in my third trimester, and although we're getting closer to the date, I haven't put the swing together yet. I have done a ton of research though and this is the best possible baby swing I could find. It does EVERYTHING. When your baby is fussy, the swing will "automatically know when and how to rock your baby." It has 360° rotation for nervous parents and wiggly babies. I cannot wait til my husband opens this and puts it together for me! I can already see it's one of the collapsible kind to save space. This is going to be my third, it never gets easier to not be a "helicopter" parent. They have come a LONG way in baby equipment since my first child!”

“We had used prior swings and he always hated being put in them, we had about almost given up looking for a swing till this one . When I say he loved this one he really loves this one I'm finally able to do things without holding him all the time. He will be in his swing happy while I cook or do some light cleaning around the house . He likes having his eyes on momma so I usually use the recline up position so he can know I'm there which is perfect because he prefers sitting up. I honestly take this around the house everywhere and it's absolutely perfect. Both me and baby approve it's a must have. Wish we had it sooner that's how good it is.”

“I got this swing brand new for my baby shower, around her being 4 weeks and 8lbs I started having problems with it not swinging with her in it. Now at 9 weeks old the thing won't even turn on. Tried a new plug and batteries. Highly disappointed, up until the issues my daughter LOVED this thing.”

“This Maxi-Cosi Cassia Swing has been a lifesaver as a new mom. I got the essential graphite color. First, it's neutral color scheme can be used for any gender, and it goes well in my nursery. It is sturdy and well-built, holding a child up to 20 pounds. I expect that it will last for many years. It has 2 recline positions for baby's comfort, although I prefer the most upright one. The harness/buckle keeps baby secure, and the soft cushion provides ample support for baby's head and neck. The swing has 5 speeds and 12 different soothing songs and nature sounds to keep baby sleepy and relaxed. Something that sets this swing apart from others is that it has a smart sensor that will automatically start softly swinging baby if he/she gets fussy and needs soothing. The Cassia swing does not take up a lot of room and is extremely light weight. The cover does come off and is machine-washable. The swing itself rotates 360°, which makes it easy to see baby if you step into a side room. You can use batteries in it, but it also comes with a wall plug.”

“This is the third swing I have owned and none of the others compare! I love the height, functionality, and ease of use. It adjusts as they grow past the infant stage and that is a major plus! I wish it had a vibration feature, but other than that it is truly the best baby swing on the market! The price point is great and the comfort and sleek look are major wins! The customer service is wonderful too! After our bunny chewed through the power adapter, Maxi-Cosi was kind enough to send a replacement right away for free! “I am genuinely impressed with this swing. It is pretty lightweight so I can easily move it into the different areas around my house. It also rotates so I don't even have to move the swing too often for my baby to stay within my sight. The quality of the materials is great, the buckles are secure, and the swing is sturdy. I absolutely love the fact that I can just detach the fabric and throw it into my washer. The control panel is pretty easy to figure out, it has different songs to choose from, the speed of swinging, and other useful options. A good thing to know is that this swing only moves side to side, which is what we personally prefer, but I know that some might prefer other options. Overall, our baby seems to enjoy the swing, and so do we.”

Solid rocker

“This is a solid rocker. My baby is 9 weeks and is about 13-14 lbs and this has a limit of 20, so it's not going to last that long. I like the way it moves side to side instead of my other one that goes back and forth from the front to the back. I also like that you're capable of moving the seat depending on the position you want for your kid. The controls are a bit clunky in my opinion, I think I don't like having the controls on the back and bottom of the unit, it's a bit difficult to get to without having to crouch down and seems to not be SUPER user friendly. I'm also missing a vibration option, or maybe I haven't found that yet, still trying it out. Maybe adding a remote would be useful, so you don't have to crouch down. It also doesn't seem to swing that fast even for the fastest speed. It's overall a good rocker,”

Smooth Swinging

“The Cassia swing was incredibly easy to put together (about 4 steps total) and was much easier to assemble than the ingenuity swing I had for my firstborn. The swing is very lightweight and compact, making it really easy to move from room to room. It can be plugged in or run on 4 AA batteries. I like the idea of not tripping over cables so I'm currently utilizing the battery feature. The seat is nice and comfy and accommodates my 14 pound baby well with the removable infant insert. There are 5 speed settings that are pretty slow compared to some other swings, but my daughter (3 months old) likes it. The swing glides so smoothly and can be reclined or sat up. I think when it's in the upright position my little baby feels like a big girl because it seems to be her preference. The swing does a full 360 degree spin if you need to turn baby (which I like to do as I move around the kitchen). There are some lullabies that you can turn on, a timer, and a "detect motion" feature which is supposed to speed up the swing if baby appears irritable. The only thing that may be lacking is the mobile which consists of 2 soft toys that are not really eye catching and could really just be left off. My daughter hasn't even noticed it. Although I would be holding my daughter 24/7 if it were up to her, it's just not possible when I have to tend to my toddlers as well. This swing seems to keep my little one content during those times. I would highly recommend this swing.”

Love it so much

“My absolute favorite thing about this swing (aside from the easy assembly) is that you can use it with a power cord OR with batteries!!!!!! The portability of this swing is literally amazing. I don't have to worry about where to plug it in because I can just put it anywhere and have the baby swinging peacefully. The design of this swing is also very appealing and elegant. It feels and looks like good quality. You can also have the baby (when they're a little older) seated more at an upright angle or laying downwards since the swing has a recliner feature. The swing does only swing side to side, would love if it was able to swing multiple directions and not just side to side but hey, my baby still love this swing so can't complain. The price point is also not bad for the quality and portability of this swing. Overall recommend it”

Swing slams to one side.

“Sometimes expensive isn't better. I wouldn't recommend this swing, apparently many people have this problem. It swings to one side, then slams on the other, startling baby and potential waking them. My husband and I have taken apart and re-assembled the swing twice and can't get the problem to stop. Don't plan on keeping the swing much longer.”

“When I received this swing I got rid of my 4moms momaroo because my baby did not have a preference between the two and I think the cassia swing is much better looking! Everyone that has been over to our house asks about it. We really have enjoyed the swing and like that there are different speeds and lullabies. The one this I dislike is the adjustable straps used to strap baby in. They are extremely difficult to adjust.”

Usually with other swings I have trouble having my baby stay for more than 5 minutes but with the Cassia Swing he stays and loves it! It helps me get stuff done around the house and if I would've known this swing would be as amazing as it has been I would've bought it since he was cooking and had it ready for him.”

BEWARE OF GETTING ITEM THAT IS NOT NEW

“I am not giving it 1 star because I am using the swing. It does provide some relief and comfort to the little one when being used at the right time. However, the item came with scratches that appear like it was assembled and then disassembled before. I bought it directly at the MAXI-COSI website, not a 3rd party seller. Upon contacting customer service, they are adamant that the item is a new item, not a return/used/refurbished one. Attached are the pictures and you can be the judge of it. They offered the item to be returned and then we can get a replacement. But, the problem is it takes at least a week for the return and another week for waiting for the delivery, so it will take about at least a couple of weeks to get a replacement. With my spouse working long hours and me with a 3-year-old and a newborn at home by myself a lot of the time, we just can not wait for another 2-3 weeks, because again, we are using it. Maxi-Cosi refused to ship the replacement before getting the damaged item to their warehouse. If you are thinking to buy one, just keep in mind the poor customer service and the chance of getting not a "NEW" item.”

“I love this swing. First of all, the design is sleek. It is not extra, it is simple but very modern and classy design. The wood is beautiful. It is very easy to set up too. The swing is just perfect. No annoying sound when moving. It moves smoothly. The swing is not too heavy or big either. The only issue i have is I could use a longer cord but other than that, it's beautifully made. I feel like it can really lasts.”

Easy to Assemble & Visually Appealing

“I will start by saying the Maxi Cosi Cassia Swing was so simple to assemble. They had sleep deprived moms in mind when they designed this product. It literally had 5 pieces total to attach. The seat itself came already assembled! I only needed a Phillips Head screwdriver for two screws on the base. Everything else just snapped into place. I love that it is a much more muted and natural color scheme. So many baby appliances scream loud bright colors that contradict the design of my living room. My house and living spaces don't need to look like a daycare with such luxurious looking designs. It is super comfortable for baby, too. With three small children under the age of 4, I desperately need a safe space to put my newborn when I just need to get something done. It is most helpful when I am putting my other two kiddos to bed, as she remains happy and content with the motion and sound! I would absolutely recommend this swing to anyone in the market for one!”

Does not play nature sounds

I'm not sure if I got a faulty one or what but I reached out to customer service and they were not helpful. My daughter prefers sounds over music & the swing was expensive so this was upsetting.”
