Too Time Consuming, No Opening for Ladders

“1. This thing is super tall! We didn't realize it was going to be so high. It really didn't need to be as dangerously high as it is. Our grandson is over 6 ft tall, and he hits his head on the ceiling trying to get on the top bunk.
2. Whomever the Engineer(s) involved in designing this thing did not even put a cut-out at the ladders for ease of access on the top bunk. In order to get on the top bunk, our grandson (who is over 6 ft tall) has to try to climb over those rails and not hurt himself. There is also difficulty in trying to get down. The ladders are also very thin.
3. The assembly instructions were not very clear on several places. We kept having to google to try to find a video on the assembly. My husband is a retired Maintenance Mechanic and can pretty much put things together with no problems, but this was nightmare!
4. There is no reason why the slats could not have been assembled in sections at the factory. These were extremely time-consuming, plus the "100" tabs to pop-in to help support each rail were difficult at times to install. They were flying all over the room when we were trying to install them.
5. Just glad this nightmare is over! Never again!!”
