“Looks awesome and love the remote controlled lighting up inside it too. It’s been a long time since I’ve seen a headboard that was not just a flat wooden decoration against a wall. This one is not overly bulky yet it definitely not a simple basic design either. It’s deep enough for books or just your remote (and Vicks lol) and has some nice looking depth even though it only uses 7 or 8 inches of space behind the bed. Changed the entire look of the room. Good quality and should last a lifetime. This headboard is heavy enough that you might want someone to help you with it. The only assembly necessary is the two main legs which can be done by any a little bit handy.”

“It is a great bed frame except for the book lights. The book lights at some point wouldn’t go off and we had to unplug the lights. Also the frame is not compatible with the adjustable beds. We had to have the storage drawers removed and replaced with a regular footboard in order to install an adjustable bed.”

Been a total mess from the day of delivery on….

“During initial delivery, the bed did not come with the remote to control the lights. The delivery guys told me I was lucky to even get the lights that they were able to find them before they left to deliver my furniture. Over a week later I received the remote only to be told that now I need a sensor so now I get to wait another 7-10 days for everything to be reshipped and hope that it all works properly. $180 for delivery and going on 3 weeks and STILL don’t have everything! Very disappointing!”

“Headboard came in and one of the legs was stuck to the back of the it which caused it to break it transit. However, I was able to repair it. The biggest issue I have is that the metal used on the hardware to assemble the bed is worse than value city furniture. The threads rolled while assembling it by hand without even using the included Allen wrench. A little disappointed but for what we paid it’s fairly well made and we like the little bookshelf.”

“The bedframe itself is wonderful. The color is great, it was relatively easy to put together even with unclear instructions.
Getting the bed itself was a completely different experience. When we bought the bed March 5th there was a 8-10 week delay. I waited until the end of the period to ask for an update on the order. I went through the chat option and was told I would be contacted in 48 hours with an update from the store that was fulfilling the order.
After not hearing from anyone for 4 days, I called to ask for an update to find out my order was cancelled at the store level but the order was never updated on Ashley's main system. They could place the order for me but it would be another 6 weeks before we would get it.
When I originally ordered the bed frame, we paid for doorstep delivery only to clean the carpet. They added free installation but failed to inform me until it was being delivered. Nice if I could have been ready for it!

“This bed is great. Looks awesome in our room and is the perfect "grown up" bed for my wife and I, neither of whom have ever owned a proper bed frame with headboard before. I like the storage drawers in the foot of the bed, though I wish the drawers were longer.
The lights in the bookcase headboard are a nice accent, as well.
We use this with a mattress platform (not a true box spring) and our mattress and it is "higher" from floor to the top of the mattress than in the past. If you have a small dog or old cat, you may want some pet stairs to help your critters get up and down.”

“My headboard arrived damaged. When I called to report the damage I was informed that they would be sending someone out to inspect it. The appointment date comes and no word from Ashely Furniture. When I called back to see what was going on it was like talking to a brick wall as the person who was supposed to be helping me didn’t listen to anything I had to say. Ashely furniture should be ashamed of their customer service.”

Too Expensive for Cheaply-Made Furniture

“This was our first purchase from Ashley, so our expectations were high considering the brand's history of quality furniture. This was our first king-size bed. We received our bed via an unmarked delivery truck. We were the last delivery. To make a long story short, the headboard/bookcase had a large crack going through it (at least 12 inches). Mind you, we had to assemble the bed ourselves because we did not want to pay more than we already had for that service. The crack was fortunately in the very back where it could not be seen. But, we were concerned about the integrity of the bed. It was cheaply made with a high price tag. It has held up well so far, but for the price and experience, it wasn't worth it. I won't be shopping at Ashley for large furniture anymore. Simply overpriced.”
