“After shopping around, I found Ashley's Maribel 5 drawer chest was reasonably price. Although, It is pressed wood with a coating, the chest is sturdy. The drawers are deep enough for 6-7 pairs of jeans. Also, the drawers glide open and shut because of the metal sliders on each side of the drawer. I replaced the knobs with antique looking ones. The knobs gave the chest a nice classic look. I purchased the chest unassembled. I received the chest in a nicely packed large box. After unpacking, all I had to do was screw on the knobs to each drawer. I liked that Ashley included a simple strap to mount to the wall to prevent the chest from tipping in case of an earthquake or children around. I have already scuffed a couple of edges and found the coating peels. It was nothing that acrylic black paint couldn't fix. Nevertheless, I would buy again.”

“Perfect. Lots of room in the drawers - I picked this chest of drawers as it has no extra decorative woodwork to take up space and cuts down on storage. Drawers slide easily. The only thing is if getting delivered you might want to have it delivered in home as I must have looked pretty comical trying to wheel a large and heavy box on too small of a cart through the complex hallways and then I struggled to turn it on its side to fit through my door way-but I'm 63.”

The Maribel collection is good quality- the drawers slide open easily and close. The chest drawers are short but deep. They also have a stop so they won’t fall out. The chest was exactly what we expected good quality for a good price.”

It has a very strong plywood/chemical smell. Can't imagine it is great for him to be inhaling. Hope the smell goes away but have noticed his clothes are absorbing the smell.”

It wasn’t enough for me to immediately send it back, but after the delivery hassle of them delivery 2 hours OUTSIDE of the delivery window they had provided me, I definitely wanted the issue addressed. At first, I thought Ashley would live up to my expectations of a well run, customer conducive experience. They answered my chat, and sent me an email follow up the same day. And then nothing. Two unanswered emails back. Contacted them again via chat, and they said it would respond within 48 hours after my complaint was reviewed with the customer service rep. No follow up. AGAIN. Just requested they contacted me again. Very disappointed with their customer service.”
