You don’t need two people to put it together but your damn sure need two people to bring it in the house and take it out of the box. All of your pieces for the bedframe are *inside* the headboard. I had a little heart attack because I thought maybe I purchased just a headboard by accident. And then I unzipped the back, because I heard some thing moving around. Very very clever packaging. “The only reason I didn’t give it 5 stars is hecause I was looking for a bed that has a solid support down each side (no leg in the middle of the bed on each side). I had that tyoe of bed and it broke at the connection. In the photo, it appears to be 1 piece, and has no legs. In reality, it is two particle board pieces with metal connector and legs to support it so it hopefully doesn’t break there. It seems more sturdy than the last one, but was a bit dissapoointed.”

Arrived damaged, but looks nice after we repaired

“First, let me start by saying this is only a review of the headboard portion, because we aren't using the box frame. Upon opening the box, we discovered the black felt-like material on the back of the headboard was torn up in one corner, and we had to pull it and staple it into place the best we could. Then, upon opening the zipper on the back to remove the various pieces, we found three of the wooden cross braces were cracked and broken. Rather than go through the hassle of returning it, we chose to repair it ourselves with some wood glue and a staple gun. So, quality wise, it definitely had some issues. Don't know if the damage occurred in transport or in the manufacturing process. The box it came in wasn't particularly beat up, so I suspect it came out of the manufacturing process that way. All that said, once we made the repairs, we're happy with the appearance of the headboard. It's very nice looking, and lends a very elegant feeling to the bedroom. Wish the quality had been a bit better, though. But it's in use now. I'd really give it a 4-star for appearance, and a 2-3 for quality of construction.”

“The bed was a nightmare to put together. The only reason for this is because the instructions were not specific or easy to read. The parts are NOT labeled at all. The screws are somewhat labeled if you like trying to match a picture and a screw. Some the of the bolts wouldnt go into the bed. It took me 5hrs to put this bed together and I really believe that if the instructions were better put together it wouldve taken 2hrs tops. The bed however is lovely and study just prepare to rip your hair out with putting it together.”
