King Mattress does not fit this bed!

“I bought this bed during a sale and it is really great. But if you read closely it is listed as a King/ California King size bed. I bought a king mattress and there is a huge gap. When I align it with the bottom of the bed, there is a 7-8 inch gap in the top and all the pillows fall down in the gap. This was functional. I aligned the king mattress with the top of the bed and there is now a 7-8 inch gap at the bottom that allows you to see in the storage drawer. This just looks weird and ridiculous. I can not stress enough that you have to buy a California King mattress for this bed even though it is listed as a king size bed! Do not think you can "make it fit", it won't.”

“Beautiful looking bed. However, the delivery people put the bar at the foot of bed on incorrectly and it has cracked. I have not had this bed a full week. My freaking mattress does not fit the bed. There is a huge freaking gap at the head between the headboard and mattress. I am very unhappy with this purchase. Oh and did I mention the stained, discolored, and cracked slats”

“This bed is cute, but designed horribly. Much like all the other reviews state a king matress doesn't fit on the bed frame. The slats show on the sides and bottom. We have had this bed 1 month and the slats and tiny little legs supporting the matress have broken/ warped in the middle.”

Nice looking but horrible quality

“Great looking bed frame and head board. The storage drawer is a great feature. Overall quality of the frame is poor. Purchased in late 2020. Where the headboard /bed frame click together has started to crack, legs under the frame were stripped / didn't fit since day 1 (so no support under the mattress, lots of extra room around the bed frame of a king mattress. Do not suggest spending this much on a bed with such low quality.”

Extra room around mattress

“Really pretty once put together. Plan on a couple hours. The instructions are terrible and there is extra room at the top/ bottom. If you move the mattress towards the bottom to cover the slats then it create a large gap at the head. If you move the mattress up to close the gap then the slats show at the bottom. I had seen another review on this so I went down to the Ashley store and they said the review must have been someone that got a California king instead of the king. I got the king and there is definitely too much extra room.”

“I got my bed today … it’s grey but way darker that what I was expecting the picture looks like a lighter gray … I got a king size mattress but seems smaller than the bed so not sure if it’s the mattress or the bed being too big ! Is not a lot of a difference but still you can tell bed is bigger . And seems like you need a box spring if your mattres is not as tall ! But still a cute bed”

Beautiful, regal, and sturdy bed! But be prepared for the cedar smell of the slats.

“Love this bed. Takes on the color of whatever room it’s in. In the show room it looked more gray but next to my tan walls it looks more creamy. It’s very sturdy and regal…looks huge in my 12x12 room.
I purchased the platform version with the drawer underneath. The drawer does not attached it just rolls under the bed freely. But looks fantastic. I bought the platform because I did not want it to be too high as I have a dreamcloud mattress that is 15 inches tall. It ended up to be the perfect height.
The only watch out I have is the smell from the cedar slats. I’m hoping it will dissipate in the next week. But other than that I love it! Amd delivery and assembly was exceptional!”
