Poor workmanship given price, nonsensical instructions

“I wish I'd read these reviews before ordering this, because they corroborate my experience with this product. For the price of this bed I expected a far higher finish quality. There was slight damage to some pieces which could not have occurred during shipping because the item was carefully packed. Finish is fine on the exterior but sloppy inside (which is fine, but still). Drawers are pre-assembled, which is nice, but fit roughly into the lots. Also beware that there is a big drawer only on one side, which I don't understand because there is clearly enough room on the other side as well. Oh well.
The instructions look like they were written by someone who did not actually have to assemble the thing. During assembly I would follow the steps, then have to retrace to loosen some connections to fit the next piece. By the end I'd figured it out so I just disregarded the instructions and attached pieces in the most efficient way.
If this was 500-600$, it might be a worthwhile purchase. Maybe.”

“The bed was easy to put together. I was able to do it by myself. I love the drawers and the shelving. My reason for not giving it five stars is that debris easily gets in the drawers from the mattress. They are significant gaps at the corner of the mattress. The drawers do not slide easily. There should be some kind of cloth that blocks the debris from going into the drawers. I would recommend if you are able to overlook the flaws.”
