“We have had this bed for less than 2 months; One of the side rail and 2 mid slats cracked a month back. They replaced it within 15 days. But again one of the side rail broke. Clearly shoddy materials. Design for a King Bed with just 3 mid-rails (we have a bunkie board over it) is not supported. Also it would not support the weight of 2 adults (300 pounds). Woudl not suggest for all day use. Could be an option for Kids or Guest bed room.”

“I will start off by simply saying that I love this bed! It is a very handsome and sturdy bed. At least it is sturdy now. Let me explain... This bed only comes with three 1" x 2" slats. Now, I'm a big guy and I have some extra weight on me and with the slats that came with the bed it didn't have nearly enough support. If I was to flop my weight down on the bed I'm quite sure it would have broken a slat and possibly the box spring foundation. However, I measured the length of the slats (59-5/8" I believe it was) and went to Lowes and bought three 12' 2" x 6" boards and had them cut the boards to the length I needed at the store, making six 2" x 6" slats for the bed. Now the bed is very sturdy and even being a big guy I'm not the least bit worried about hopping up on there and tossing my weight down. The bed is rock solid!!! Six 2" x 6" slats was way overkill but I know I'll never have to worry about it again. Since it is so gorgeous and the price is so great it wasn't worth deducting a star for in my opinion. I would highly recommend this bed to anyone, but would also recommend to add some more sturdy slats.”

“I bought an Alisdair Queen Sleigh Headboard/Footboard/ Rail. These items arrived in my home prior one day earlier by UPS for delivery day. I am very happy with this reasonable price, free shipping. While installing the parts of frame, there is an an hole uncorrected , so I cannot put screw into that hole, but after I have use an other long screw to connect temporarily between footboard and leg. I sent to request a new leg to replace it and today I received email from Ashley furniture company and they have sent two footboard legs to me. That's great. I am very appreciated about their good customer services.”

“We needed to get my 3 1/2 yr old a new twin bed. Its great for the price. He loves it. It says the color is dark brown but it matches my son's cherry furniture perfectly. Wasn't hard to put together. Only thing was at the end when we added the 3 support boards. There wasn't any pre-set holes on the bed frame. So we had to drill them in. I had a small drill that did the trick. It only took me & My mom 30 to put this bed together. We had an extra allen wrench. So that helped.”

“We bought this bed about a month ago to go with our new Purple mattress (weighs 110 lbs.). The bed came to us needing assembly, which I knew. It was not hard to put together at all. Within about an hour it was set up and ready to go. We made a few modifications to the frame adding slates for support and a sheet of plywood to give the proper support without using box springs. The frame is very well made and it is actually made out of wood and not cheap particle board. The way this bed looks in the picture is how this bed looks in real life. The rich wood finish adds depth to our bedroom.”

“Love the style of this bed but had a lot of problems and had to return/exchange parts of the bed. I opened the first box which was the head and footboard and found that there was a crack on the headboard 1/2 way across the top. After taking pictures of the product and boxes, I had to box it up and it was picked up very quickly and rep sent out a new one. Then, I get ready to put the bed together and opened up the box with the rails and found that the wood was cracked at a strategic place where the screw fits in. It looks like they put it together like that. Shipping was free so after all of the above I got the bed together and it looks very nice in my guest room, but quite a hassle.”

The frame holds the queen mattress so well and the height is appropriate.
